Artists need to be more punk.
F*ck the system.
Why accept anything less than what you are owed?
Do you even know what you are owed?
I’ll summarise, you are owed….
1) Access to multiple revenue streams
2) Direct access to your fans
3) Tools that help you evolve from an artist to an ecosystem
4) Rails to protect and maximise the value of your IP
5) Full transparency over the usage of your IP and the revenues generated back to you in real-time
6) New distribution into platforms that actually get you paid properly

100% agree with @TKtheLegend , the sheer flip of price of music NFT is not the way to go, and utilities for token gated access to media or IRL events has their limit.
In our view msuic NFT is a pass to a broader web3 music eco-system, a way for holders to be recognized with their contribution to the artists, and return comes with it.
The focus should not be on "how do we sell more music nfts to fans", but "how do we include them in the growth of artists' career path."
We do that, and secondary sales will come.
Music NFT secondary sales are dead (for now) because nobody has ever complained about being unable to resell a song they bought on iTunes. We have to be very specific about the type of NFTs we speculate on.
Music NFTs are collectors items. Outside of big name hype drops, Music NFTs are a long term investment and there isn't a model that will change this. Short term secondary health will depend on the demand for each individual creator's work.
IMO utility & access based NFTs are the best to speculate on short term and bonding curves make the experience much interactive.
Onchain music can include utility but right now a majority of artists only have a handful of collectors that care to access their encrypted media, etc., so I think we need more clear distinctions between each type.
Collectors: Know what you're collecting and collect for the right reasons :)
Artists: Show love to the people collecting for appreciation because they're keeping the vibes alive 🤘🏾
