Third-worldism starts with not thinking of the day after tomorrow
When we still built Grand Central, much less Stratford Hall, the goal was to build for forever and lift the spirit. To make tomorrow grander and greater
Look around. That civilization no longer exists. Instead, we have a mixture of schemes, cardboard houses, ugly assortments of concrete and glass, and hordes of migrants who have been imported to fill them so that GDP might notch another mark a bit higher for one quarter more, damn what consequences may result
Such are the first steps to becoming a Third World country
Soon those wretched and ugly structures will fall into disrepair. The vagrants and squatters will creep in a bit more. The migrants will pile up a bit more. The mob will take that which it could never earn.
Welcome to the favela. Welcome to the Third World. Welcome to the world created by those who brought it here

It's incredibly obnoxious this political obsession with "the most vulnerable communities". You need to be focused on taxpayers, actually. You can't triage a society like it's an emergency room. Taxpayers prop up everything, and if you disregard them for the "marginalized" class, the productive members of society leave and everything collapses.
Some people are in dire straits through no fault of their own. Many others are there because they suck, and we need to be honest about that. They're either addicts or malcontents or they perpetuate destructive culture. The more you indulge them, the worse their destructive habits get. Hold the door open for opportunities, but if they can't get their shit together, giving them free stuff just further incentivizes bad behavior.
The illegal street vendor thing in LA has become a plague. It's not cute. It's not cultural enrichment. It's 3rd world shit. Get a job in a restaurant. Let the restaurant do al fresco dining, like a civilized society. Can we please stop pretending that street vendors dumping pig fat onto our sidewalks is somehow virtuous?

The Republican Senate blocked Trump from making recess appointments for 2 full years. Our problem is that the Republican establishment has been intentionally sandbagging and tanking and trying to lose for 2 years while we, ironically, tried to force them to win.

Why is an impotent communist in Vermont so invested in a ballot prop in California???
Because he wants to expand it nationwide. CA is the incubator for all their stupid commie schemes. They'll confiscate your stuff in CA, then make it nationwide so you can't escape. Then they will expand it to the working class. Commies NEVER stop. The blob always grows.
They seduce you by breaking the seal on government confiscation with billionaires first, because you have no sympathy for them. Then, once you've gotten OK with government seizing people's stuff, they take it further. They will then confiscate from the millionaires. Then you.
It happens EVERY single time. We need to start saying no to literally EVERYTHING these commies propose. They are schemers, and all they do is lie...every innocent sounding proposal they make is just their opening effort to get the camel's nose under the tent.
The blob is out of control. Say no to communism.

Regardless of who wins the US Senate race from Texas this year, James Talarico or Ken Paxton, I will say this: The anti-Paxton people have done generational damage to whatever they think their brand of Republican or conservatism is.
They told us to hold our nose and vote for your candidates in the general and challenge them in the primaries. They told us our differences, even our concerns about their candidate's character, didn't matter.
We did as they asked.
Over and over and over again.
Because they needed our votes and the alternative was worse.
We're asking you to do what you told us to do: Hold your nose and vote for our candidates in the general and challenge them in the primaries.
You are refusing.
Over and over and over again.
In an election where the alternative is the worst it has ever been.
We'll remember that next time you need our votes.
And before you say it: You WILL need our votes. If you didn't, your Cornyn would have won the Primary and be cruising to an easy election and Democrats would be failing in elections all over the nation. That isn't happening, and that didn't happen. You think all the moderates you're alienating will vote for your candidates to make up for all the conservatives you're also alienating?
It's like RINO Inc is TRYING to make themselves utterly electorally non-viable by alienating literally everyone.

It’s called anarcho-tyranny. Total anarchy for criminals and drug addicted zombies, but if you’re a normal, law-abiding, hardworking taxpayer? Not only will they let that drug zombie stab your grandmother, they’ll give you a ticket for speeding her to the ER. Tyranny.

🔥 TRUE STORY. THE EAGLE’S NEST SCENE FROM BAND OF BROTHERS.
Dick Winters and Easy Company rolled into The Eagle’s Nest on May 5, 1945 JUST THREE DAYS before Germany formally surrendered in WWII.
They had just come from Kaufering concentration camp. After fighting from Normandy to Bastogne… this was the first time they could actually let off steam.
They found Göring’s massive wine cellar (10,000+ bottles of top-shelf Bordeaux… champagne…. and cognac and drank it while sitting at Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest as the war in Europe ended.
VE Day was May 8. They spent it overlooking the Alps finishing off the Nazi leadership’s private stock.
The destruction today of that symbolic architectural masterpiece was as much an attack on the legacy of many our American troops who FINALLY were able to see the blood of their friends had shed for FREEDOM come to conclusion ATOP THAT MOUNTAIN.

Blessed Karl I of Austria, born Charles Francis Joseph on August 17, 1887, in Persenbeug Castle, Lower Austria, stands as a poignant figure in 20th-century European history—a monarch whose reign was eclipsed by the cataclysm of World War I, yet whose legacy endures through his unyielding commitment to faith, family, and peace. As the last emperor of Austria and king of Hungary, Karl embodied the twilight of the Habsburg dynasty, ruling over a multi-ethnic empire that spanned Central Europe. His life, marked by tragedy and exile, culminated in his beatification by the Church in 2004, earning him the title "Blessed" for his heroic virtues and tireless pursuit of justice amid chaos.
Karl's early years were steeped in the grandeur and piety of the Habsburg court. The son of Archduke Otto and Princess Maria Josepha of Saxony, he grew up in a devout Catholic environment, receiving a rigorous education that emphasized military discipline, languages, and theology. From a young age, Karl demonstrated a profound spirituality; he attended daily Mass, prayed the Rosary fervently, and sought spiritual counsel from Jesuit advisors. His marriage on October 21, 1911, to Princess Zita of Bourbon-Parma was not merely a dynastic alliance but a sacrament he cherished deeply. The couple, who would have eight children, vowed to guide each other toward heaven, a promise Karl upheld even in exile. Zita later recalled his words at their wedding: "Now I am completely yours; you are completely mine. We shall never leave one another again." This union became the cornerstone of his personal life, reflecting his belief that the family was the "domestic church," a model for Christian society.
The outbreak of World War I thrust Karl into the unforgiving spotlight of imperial duty. On June 28, 1914, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand elevated him to heir presumptive, and upon Emperor Franz Joseph's death in November 1916, Karl ascended the throne at age 29 as Charles I of Austria and IV of Hungary. Inheriting a war-weary empire, he immediately sought to extricate it from the conflict. A skilled military leader who personally commanded troops and won key battles—such as the defense of the Italian front—Karl abhorred the senseless slaughter, once confiding to his wife, "I have done my duty, whatever the cost." He initiated secret peace negotiations with the Allies in 1917, offering concessions to end the war without victors, but these efforts were undermined by Allied demands for unconditional surrender and internal betrayals. Domestically, Karl enacted reforms to address famine and ethnic tensions, establishing the "New Course" to promote social welfare and parliamentary democracy, earning him admiration from figures like Pope Benedict XV.
Defeat came swiftly in 1918. The armistice dismantled the Austro-Hungarian Empire, forcing Karl's abdication in November amid republican uprisings. Exiled first to Switzerland, he attempted unsuccessful restorations in Hungary in 1921, driven by his sense of sacred duty to his people. Banished to the Portuguese island of Madeira, Karl endured poverty and illness, contracting pneumonia in a damp villa. There, in his final days, he prepared for death with exemplary serenity, receiving the sacraments and forgiving his enemies. On April 1, 1922, at age 34, he passed away, whispering to Zita, "I cannot go on much longer... but I love you so much." His funeral drew global tributes, with Allied leaders privately acknowledging his peace overtures.
Karl's beatification on October 3, 2004, by Pope St. John Paul II in St. Peter's Square—before 50,000 pilgrims—affirmed his sanctity. The miracle attributed to him, the healing of a Brazilian nun in 1960, underscored his intercession for the suffering. Today, Blessed Karl is invoked as a patron for families, rulers, and those seeking peace, his life a testament to integrating faith with public service.

You can't fight something with nothing. De-Christianized Europe has nothing. To paraphrase T.S. Eliot on the eve of World War II, for Europe's current moment: "If you will not have God, and he is a jealous God, then you should prepare to pay your respects to Allah and Lenin."
“Looking at those great works of western man and remembering all that he’s achieved in philosophy, poetry, science, law making, it does seem hard to believe that European civilisation can ever vanish. And yet, you know, it has happened once. All the life giving human activities that we lump together under the word ‘civilisation’ have been obliterated once in Western Europe, when the barbarians ran over the Roman Empire.”
- Sir Kenneth Clark
