Shooting missiles at kids trying to play hockey in Ukraine is worse.
Not letting Russian kids play hockey in Canada is retarded.

🇫🇷 This man is a hero. He had earned his captain’s rank. His German captors saw only the color of his skin. On June 7, 1940, following fierce fighting, after his men exhausted their ammunition, Captain Charles N’Tchoréré was captured at Airaines, northern France. Born in Libreville, Gabon, in 1896, he had served during World War I, become a career soldier, and risen through the ranks. Promoted to captain in 1933, he volunteered for frontline service when another war began. In June 1940, he commanded a company of the 53rd Mixed Senegalese Colonial Infantry Regiment. At Airaines, he stayed behind to cover his battalion’s withdrawal. When resistance finally became impossible, he emerged with roughly fifteen men still fit to fight. The Germans separated African prisoners from Europeans. N’Tchoréré insisted on being treated as a French officer, invoking the Geneva Convention. He was shot in the back of the neck. He was 43. Several accounts attribute his murder to soldiers of Germany’s 25th Infantry Regiment, part of the 2nd Motorized Infantry Division. His murder exposes a reality often overshadowed by accounts of tanks and battlefield maneuvers: the campaign of 1940 also included racist killings of captured African soldiers. Remember Captain Charles N’Tchoréré. Share his story. Follow @Vanguard_WW2 for more WWII history.

BREAKING: SWEET REVENGE! The Navy Admiral who Pete Hegseth fired DEFEATS her MAGA opponent to win a House seat in South Carolina — cementing the blue tsunami with a poetic flourish! This is just too beautiful... Democrat Nancy Lacore, a 35-year Navy veteran who rose through the ranks from helicopter pilot to become Chief of Navy Reserve, was fired in August of 2025 amid Hegseth's purging of high-ranking women in the military. While no official reason was given, the deeply misogynistic Hegseth has not been coy about his caveman belief that only testosterone-injecting men should serve. Lacore has now defeated Republican Jenny Costa Honeycutt to seize a seat that was formerly held by MAGA lunatic Nancy Mace who launched a failed bid for the governor's mansion this year. Lacore has not been shy about criticizing Hegseth's disastrous mismanagement of the Defense Department, particularly his failed Iran War. "Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified Secretary of Defense that we have ever had, and he is doing significant damage to our military that it will really take decades to undo," she said, adding that he "needs to go." The most beautiful irony here? Congresswoman Lacore could soon be voting with the rest of the Democratic majority in the House to impeach Pete Hegseth. We have subpoena power starting in January, so we'll be able to uncover all of the gross negligence and rampant criminality that he's overseen. Ain't karma grand? Please ❤️ and share if you support impeaching Pete Hegseth!

“A colossal failure at all levels’., noemde een republikeinse analist de uitslag van dinsdag. De altijd zo opgewekte partij (Ronald Reagan prees The Good Old USA als 'a shining city on the hill') werd de Trump-partij van boosheid en frustratie.

Today, Ukraine’s independent anti-corruption agencies, NABU and SAPO, released investigative materials that have shocked the country. But beyond the horrifying details, they reveal four important truths about Ukraine’s fight against corruption. When Ukrainians created NABU and SAPO, we imagined they would investigate high-level white-collar corruption involving ministers, oligarchs, and senior officials. Few of us imagined they would uncover allegations of such brutal organized crime. The recordings released as part of Operation Carthage-2 include discussions of attacking investigative journalists and activists with acid, assaulting a Mariupol defender and former prisoner of war with hammers, and accounts of people being brutally beaten, including a woman attacked with a metal pipe on the street at night. These materials expose something much larger than a criminal investigation. First, independent institutions inevitably begin exposing corruption within the old institutions. NABU and SAPO were created to investigate top-level corruption. Yet some of that corruption involve law enforcement officials protecting organized criminal networks rather than dismantling them. Second, organized crime systematically seeks protection across the entire unreformed law enforcement system. Earlier investigative materials pointed to alleged prosecutorial protection of fraudulent call centers. The latest materials raise questions about connections involving the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is expected. The alleged criminal activities protected by corrupt law enforcement officials extend beyond fraud to drug trafficking, counterfeit currency, and violent attacks. Third, fighting corruption is part of Ukraine’s struggle to break with its Soviet and Russian past. The Soviet legacy left behind criminal networks operating across borders, often intertwined with security and law enforcement structures. The alleged involvement of a Russian criminal figure alongside Ukrainian officials illustrates why dismantling these networks is also a matter of national security. There is also a mention of how Russian FSB was used by criminals to attack a NABU detective. I repeatedly explain this during international meetings: Ukraine’s anti-corruption reforms are not merely about good governance. They are part of our strategic separation from Russia and the Soviet system. Fourth, the political dimension demands further investigation. The recordings contain references to political contacts, including a former interior minister, as well as a former health minister and possible meetings with MP David Arakhamia. Such references do not establish wrongdoing by those politicians. But they raise legitimate questions about the political connections that criminal networks believed they could rely upon. Those connections must be investigated further. Ultimately, the question is how deeply has organized crime penetrated Ukraine’s law enforcement and political institutions? This is precisely why the independence of NABU and SAPO matters. Ukraine must have institutions capable of investigating powerful networks, regardless of their connections. As a member of NABU’s Public Oversight Council, I am proud of the work these institutions are doing and grateful for their courage. And I am happy that Ukrainians successfully defended independence of NABU and SAPO by peaceful protests in the streets during a full-scale war. The work of NABU and SAPO is about our democratic resilience and defending our sovereignty.
