Dexter Barry had a heart transplant after waiting 12 years, now Barry is dead because everyone in the chain of custody in the system let this man die. I posted about Dexter a last week, some new information has come out and it's worth an update. Dexter shouldn't have been in jail in the first place. He and his neighbor who shared a wifi service had an argument over the bill. The fight was never physical, they had some words and Berry walked away to cool off. When the officer decided to arrest him Barry told the cop multiple times how much he needed to bring his medication, but the cop didn't care. During his jail intake, the nurse even made a note of the severity of his condition "Urgent Referal" she wrote about the medication. nobody cared. When Barry went in front of the judge for his bond hearing, he again told the judge how urgent his condition was. The judge set his bond at $503 and said "Hopefully you are able to make bond here and get your medication," When he finally got out after missing his medication for 2 day his son could tell he didn't sound right. on the 23rd they contacted the hospital to see if he should take extra to make up for the missed doses, and was told it would be to dangerous. Unfortunatly the damage was already done, later that day his body rejected his transplant. Every single person who separated this man from his medication is responsible for his death. Every person of "Authority" that failed to take the time to do the right thing failed this man.

This is a make-or-break moment for parliamentary democracy What is the point of Parliament if a Minister can just ignore the outcome of debates and votes by imposing draconian laws on the public - all opposition party’s must stand together Everyone needs to watch this!

Everyone working at openAI should be ashamed of themselves for empowering this insanity. This is straight up incumbents trying to own a technology relying on lawfare and regulatory capture. They know that open source will get ahead of them if left unrestricted.

This is incredible. Am due to do @bbc @politicslive today and I think Kate Winslet social media speech is on the agenda. But this is what we should be discussing if we are doing the BAFTAS surely ?
What actually happened VS what the BBC aired. Tell me again how the BBC is unbiased? Why have they cut that out? @siobhni @scottygb

Met a non-tech founder of an AU startup. Used an offshore team to build a prototype of an app to help hospitals. She seems top-notch, has made big progress on getting research grants, hospital trial partners and an impressive advisory board… – at Sydney, New South Wales

⚠️ TW Suicide is the single biggest killer of men under age 45. 41% of men who contemplated suicide felt they couldn’t talk about their feelings. This is why we shouldn’t mock men for being emotional. We need men to be encouraged to open up and not to be told to ‘man up’
