A 362 year old, huge Bible with annotations and commentary was donated to the Archaix library. This book is remarkably preserved and dates from 2 years before the Great Fire of London in 1666. Been looking at interesting passages about giants, the breaking of the seals and seeing how interpretations in the 17th century were both the same and different in some aspects from Judeo-Christian beliefs held today. Interesting catch- not a hint of angels having sex with human females to produce giants.

What profound brainwashing of a people today to believe that the New Testament version of Jesus is true, this born of a virgin at appearance of a new star in the sky, a boy genius at 12 years old teaching the priests, miracle-worker, raiser of the dead, betrayed by the Jews, crucified, resurrected and then flew into the sky… Brainwashing because not one single historical account outside RECOPIED manuscripts in possession of Christian monks ever supports this incredible story. Brainwashing because modern Christians venerate Jews as God’s chosen people and it was the Jews in the story that killed Jesus. Brainwashing because the Jewish Talmudic texts and commentaries DO NOT AT ALL remember this series of events. The Talmud was composed at the EXACT same time as the Christian writings appeared over a century and a half AFTER the alleged events of Jesus. The Talmud does refer to a Jesus who was stoned, or in some passages, hung, for inciting anti-Jewish sentiment, but this is not the amazing Gospel Jesus but rather the Maccabean Revolt Jesus of 167 BCE whose opponent was the traditionalist Judas. The Jewish Talmud condemns the Gospel series of events as untrue. I’m not a fan of the Talmud, but it is a data point.
