#OnThisDay in June 1982, the Falklands War ended. Lasting 74 days, it was one of the largest major conflicts since #WW2. 42 years on, we remember the 255 British personnel who lost their lives, and all those impacted by the conflict.

It’s #AnzacDay today when Australian and New Zealand troops landed at Gallipoli in 1915, and British and French troops at Cape Helles. The #ANZAC contribution to the Great War was immense costing both young nations heavy casualties from the Wadis to the muddy ditches of Flanders.
