Tomorrow Tuesday 20th October, Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) holds its general assembly. Once again, members will be able to view and approve important issues like work plans and financial statement. We also get to discharge the old board and vote 14 new ones for 2026-2028. As we say goodbye for now to some of our Board members there are friendships I will truly miss. Working alongside such dedicated colleagues has been a meaningful part of my UICC experience, and l am grateful for the memories and shared commitment to global cancer control. I was delighted to meet many of the candidates recently in Hong Kong. The slate is diverse and worthy. The prospect of leading a new board for the next 2 years is exciting, yet sobering. I will work closely with the scientists, advocates and experts you vote to steer the Union to greater heights. Thus, I encourage all full UICC members to check their inboxes and cast their votes for the best persons to get the job done. Good Luck to everyone! #UICC #WorldCancerCongress #WCC2026 #GeneralAssembly #PinkOctober #MedicaidCancerFoundation #WalkAwayCancer @DrCaryAdams @ulrikaarehed @ChaarHana @cspramesh @AsemHMansour @GlopesMd @gonzalolopezcu @m_mutebi, @kmschmeler @HeshamElghazal2
