My congratulations to #Indian Navy for successfully executing a meticulously coordinated 48-hour operation to rescue all 20 crew members of the pirated fishing vessel, Azini, more than 3000 km from Mumbai in the Arabian Sea, on 02 Nov 26.
The swift localisation, interception and safe release of the crew and vessel from significantly-armed pirates, with timely support from the Indian Air Force, speak well of the Indian Navy’s high operational readiness and ability to respond decisively to maritime threats across the region.
Our brave personnel have once again demonstrated India’s ability, intent and resolve to safeguard lives, uphold maritime security and ensure stability across the Indian Ocean Region.
India continues to stand resolute in ensuring SAFE SEAS and a free, open and secure Indian Ocean Region.

Demonstrating exceptional airborne proficiency and operational readiness, the Combat Freefallers of #ShatrujeetBrigade successfully completed their Annual Combat Freefall Training Camp at #Haldwani, #Uttarakhand, executing 40 combat freefall jumps including six high-altitude oxygen jumps with full combat equipment.
Braving unpredictable winds and challenging terrain, the airborne warriors demonstrated remarkable accuracy in confined Drop Zones. A specialised tandem jump involving a K9 and its handler further highlighted the Brigade's advanced airborne capabilities and operational versatility.

❌ A digitally altered video is being circulated with fabricated remarks attributed to Lt Gen Girish Kalia, claiming that China has taken control of Asaphila, Longjou and Taksing Circle in Arunachal Pradesh and that the Indian Army has been denied essential supplies. The misleading video attempts to portray fabricated statements as a leaked admission by a senior Indian Army officer.
✅ The video uses #SyntheticGeneratedInformation to falsely attribute remarks to Lt Gen Girish Kalia. The original footage relates to a press briefing delivered by then GOC 28 Infantry Division, Maj Gen Girish Kalia, in Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir, on 27 October 2023. He addressed infiltration attempts across the Line of Control, reporting 10 foiled attempts, the elimination of 27 terrorists and the recovery of warlike stores and narcotics. He made no such statements about Chinese control over Arunachal Pradesh or denial of supplies to the Indian Army.

MEA spokesperson @MEAIndia on comments made by #ITBP DG on the issue of ‘skirmishes’ between Indian and Chinese troops in #Arunachal Pradesh.
He refers the matter to the Defence Ministry for specifics.
But adds: As we have noted in the past, the situation in the India-China border areas gets disturbed from time to time when Chinese forces diverge from established patrolling patterns.
Both sides continue to use existing diplomatic and military mechanisms to resolve outstanding issues and avoid misunderstanding and miscalculation along the Line of Actual Control.
The two sides have also agreed to discuss ways to improve understanding of LAC in appropriate areas for better border management.
I would also like to emphasise that the maintenance of peace and tranquility in the border areas is essential for the overall development of bilateral relations”.

CISF’s Swift Response: Suspicious Person Apprehended While Attempting to Escape at Metro Station!
Alert CISF personnel at Jama Masjid Metro Station of DMRC sprang into action when a passenger attempted to flee after a suspicious, dense object appeared on the XBIS screen during baggage screening.
Demonstrating quick reflexes and effective coordination, CISF personnel immediately pursued and apprehended the fleeing passenger near the exit gate.
Further examination of his belongings revealed an unidentified semi-solid substance concealed in a stitched portion of his undergarment. The passenger, who claimed to be an NRI residing in Kuala Lumpur, along with his belongings, was handed over to the police for further investigation.
The swift action and alertness of CISF personnel highlight their prompt response and commitment to ensuring metro security.

Jantar Mantar is an important location for protest since three decades. Globally protests happen near Parliament and Seat of Power. Security issues are genuine and should be dealt with but de-notifying Jantar Mantar is wrong.
