A few months ago, I tweeted asking why more companies don't sponsor marathon runners.
This weekend, we got to do exactly that at @trywindmill.
We sponsored 6 NYC Marathon runners with custom race-day shoes, and seeing them cross the finish line with the Windmill logo flashing by was an incredible moment.
We spend so much time celebrating what people accomplish at work. Why not celebrate what they accomplish outside of it, too?
Performance is what we think about all day at Windmill. On Sunday, we got to watch high performance in person.

we spend so much time/effort recruiting and hiring top talent, but the other 50% is grafting top talent to a high performing team.
cool to see @bdistel and @trywindmill team tackle this problem with the best possible tech to help top talent succeed.
Growing companies think their biggest problem is hiring, but they are wrong. It’s only half the story.
In reality even the best candidates will fail if they are not set up for success from the start.
I experienced this at @yext across a team of 2,500, and today, with the pull of our growing customer base, Windmill is launching the system I always wanted
An agentic onboarding system to give every new hire the best chance of being successful as quickly as possible.
@trywindmill now has over 250 customers and many of them growing faster than any companies before in human history. Our customers feel this pain viscerally. You spend millions on recruiting and closing candidates only for them to show up to an onboarding based off a couple slides and a Notion doc.
Onboarding is one of the most important things a company does. It’s a new hire’s introduction to the company culture and how it runs. And in today’s rapidly changing world, it’s harder than it’s ever been before.
Effective onboarding isn't about teaching people everything. It's about getting them to real contribution as fast as possible, with clear goals, regular feedback, and a manager who stays in the loop.
Windmill puts an AI agent in charge of making that happen for every new hire, and holds everyone accountable along the way.
We’re currently live with amazing customers like @Etched (among others) and it’s incredible to see the results. Every one of our customers I’ve shared this with has raised their hands and we’re including it as part of their subscription.
If this is something your team struggles with, we’d love to show you the system that’s helped customers around the globe onboard and ramp their teams 3x faster.
Getting someone to say yes to the job gets a lot of attention. What happens on Monday morning deserves just as much. Love seeing @bdistel and @trywindmill tackle this!

Onboarding is one of the biggest bottlenecks for fast-growing teams. @trywindmill just launched Agentic Onboarding to fix that. Windy, their AI agent, guides every new hire from day one with a personalized plan, company knowledge, and the right manager support, all in Slack. New hires onboarded with Windmill ramp 3x faster.
Windmill already has a fast-growing roster of customers, like @Etched, that are seeing incredible results. Congrats @bdistel, @_maxdshaw, @TarkManner and the @trywindmill team on the launch!

Our founder and managing partner, @alexavontobel, sat down with @WallStManeet at the @Forbes Future of Work Summit to talk investing in the future of work and building a human economy in the age of AI.
It’s something we’ve thought about for a long time at @InspiredCap, and it’s a big reason we invested in @trywindmill, an AI company that bets on humans. They’re rethinking performance reviews so companies can see and grow talent they already have!
Thank you @Forbes and @WallStManeet for having us, and was so fun meeting @RealColinRocker backstage!

pretty proud of how we built "Text Insights" on pulse surveys.
analyzing open ended text response questions is tricky. most platforms shove all the responses into an LLM and get a summary. in practice this isn't that useful and you can't slice and dice data easily.
instead we built a custom pipeline using jev (@typesafeai) that buckets and classifies every response. this allows you to filter and group responses in real time and you can easily go deeper with Windy whenever you want.

this is @trywindmill
except we integrate with all the tools you work in & understand the metadata incredibly well to pull tg an accurate summary of what you did (for you & your manager), linked to underlying citations

one fun thing we do at windmill is a "windy win of the week". we care a lot about celebrating wins - especially ones that might otherwise go under the radar.
here's how it works.
1. every week windy (the agent built into @trywindmill) selects a windy win of the week
2. windy presents the winner at all hands with a fun video
3. windy then sends a handwritten note (thanks to @Handwrytten) and a personalized (funny) amazon gift
jack & emily have been working on making our core harness faster so windy decided to send a....tiny horse and carriage...i guess that's a harness?
yes it's kinda stupid but also stupid things are fun!

Congrats to the entire @profound team! It’s been incredible to watch them dominate a new space and grow so quickly.
Pretty cool that @trywindmill helps power their people and performance.
Excited to share @profound has raised a $180M Series D, co-led by @sequoia and @kleinerperkins.
Winning in AI Search requires an inhuman amount of work. That is why we are building the AI platform for marketers, underpinned by two things:
1/ Your AI Marketer, a marketing expert that proactively investigates your data, identifies opportunities, and then does the work while you stay in the loop.
2/ Context Manager, a living synthesis of your meetings, email threads, and brand data powering this new teammate. As your brand evolves, so does your AI Marketer.
AI labs are pushing the frontier in fields like engineering, law, and finance. But marketing, one of the economy's most complex and consequential applications, has received far less attention.
That’s why we’re expanding our applied AI research team. We’re bringing together research scientists, engineers, and IOI medalists to advance AI for marketing. Their focus: post-training models for marketing workflows, and building the world's first AI benchmark for real-world tasks in the field.
