The need for novel approaches to detect and image EVs is responded by nanophotonics researchers in many ways.

While all have pros and cons regarding sensitivity, throughput, or other parameters; the questions generally comes down to integrability into EV research as a whole.

Visualizing EVs is a challenge because of their nanoscale sizes. However, researchers from Universidad El Bosque developed a protocol, by the help of which no highly specialized and expensive equipment is required.

Extracellular vesicles, a.k.a. exosomes, are recently attracting interest from cosmetic field. This is simply because EVs from various sources including plants, bacteria, and fungi have plethora of functions including but not limited to wound healing, anti-aging, and hair growth.

Our tools are not just for EV isolation, because sometimes you may want more than that: Concentration of pre-isolated EVs, especially when it comes to in-vitro or in-vivo studies that require precise dosing. For such a purpose, we have the right tool: EV-Spinner!
As EVs are shining with their potential for many different applications, the same question arises again and again: How to boost EV production?

Even though it can be more fulfilling to see some further characterization of EVs released by electrically-stimulated cells, we can still see that there is a good potential for high yield EV production with a decent compromise between cell viability and EV release concentration.

Do you want to purify EVs from minimal sample volumes? Are you afraid of background signal from unbound dyes? Or do you want to eliminate unbound antibodies?
The all-in-one solution you are looking for is: miniPURE EVs spin columns!

Bioluminescence is an effective imaging mode for monitoring cellular dynamics. However, the sacrifice done from the spatial resolution to cover for low bioluminescence intensity prevents its application for tracking extracellular vesicles.

How do we spend our days in the office? It depends. But today we have:
- EV isolation from cell media, to be put on the shelves as EV reference material
- EV characterization as part of an ongoing research service
- Some fume hood work as part of our EU project Innovat-EV
Sometimes it is better to take a step back and look from a broader perspective in order to see the trends in your field. This is what a newly published bibliometric study on cancer provides on EVs.
