Salt Lake City has a security guard at the Liberty Park playground that’s been closed for over a year making sure that no kid uses it until the mayor can have a photo-op this evening.
There are about six people who appear to be city staffers loafing at the entrance to the playground, helping the security guard make sure that no kids go in until the photo-op.

SLC is almost done with the rebuild of Rotary Playground in Liberty Park after multiple delays and more than a year. And in true SLC fashion, it’s choosing to reopen the playground on a Monday rather than a Saturday.
@slcmayor: do the photo op on Oct. 24 plz. @SLCPublicLands
