‘Big City Greens’ storyboard artist Gabi Rodea encourages parents to have their children see ‘Wildwood’ for its mature storytelling.
“Big studios like Disney and Paramount want to sanitize stories, effectively training children not to think about sadness or fear. Wildwood is for kids to be inspired by how they feel when they see a great movie.”

Travis Knight tells us why he wanted to adapt Colin Meloy’s ‘WILDWOOD’ novel into a massive stop-motion animated film.
“It felt like it was breathing the same air as all these classic fantasies and fairytales that I loved my entire life, like Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, or Frank Baum.”

You don’t have to pick one passion. Learn philosophy. Paint. Write. Build things. Study the stars. Disappear into the woods for a while. Then get obsessed with something completely random next year. A single lane is for cars, not for people. Chase a life full of curiosity.

For the sake of your mental health, learn the difference between being fully chosen and simply being kept around. Being chosen means someone makes an effort to have you in their life. Being kept around means they give you just enough attention to keep you from leaving, but never enough to make you feel secure. One brings you peace. The other leaves you constantly questioning where you stand, overthinking every interaction and wondering whether you’re asking for too much. You deserve to be someone’s intentional choice, not someone’s convenient option. Stop settling for a place in someone’s life when what you really want is to know you belong there.
Would be a nice change but Universal is too chicken to do it :/
Mike Flanagan wants to make a Jurassic horror movie!
“A Jurassic movie could be a blast too… I’d want to go really scary with it. A true dinosaur horror film would be a blast.”

This news makes me so sad. I’ve never seen fireflies in person ;.;
🚨: Fireflies are disappearing so fast that scientists think we are the last generation to see them.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While firefly populations face threats and some species are at risk of extinction, experts say we are not the last generation to see fireflies.

Laika’s ’WILDWOOD’ debuts with a near perfect 98% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes from early fan screenings 🍅

I've never understood those who make statements like
"Artists don't deserve to make a living off art, it's a hobby not a career."
It's an intellectually dishonest or jealous opinion considering they're surrounded by art by career artists everyday & we all have costs of living.
