I'm not married to my opinions. I throw them out here to see if someone can convince me otherwise. If they can show me I'm wrong, I update my opinion. In some cases, I'm really hoping someone will show me I'm wrong, because there are things I don't want to be right about.

the republicans were handed the country on a silver platter for the first time in a long time culturally & politically and basically did nothing with it except bomb iran. historical fumble.
When I come across a real Texan, it's actually a cool event and not a normal every day occurrence.
I've seen this happen for years with homeless people. There is a contempt for others and enjoyment at their discomfort, and the power to make them stop when they don't want to, and that they would be in the wrong if they hit the homeless person.
This is what it's like every single day here in Vermont. Even in the small towns of a few hundred or a few thousand.
Everywhere. Every day.
Pedestrians are *consciously aggressing* against drivers. They're deliberately putting themselves in danger because their emotional desire to find themselves as a victim is so strong it overrides their self-preservation instinct.
You can call that "ridiculous," but it's true. If you lived here and saw what I've seen for years, you would not call my statement ridiculous.
This is of a piece with a country whose basic moral and civilizational fabric has been destroyed.

What's the best way to respond to this reality? And I do think it's reality.
The main issue is that neither party gives two shits about what life is like for us on the ground. They are lost in their own little wars and grudges, and they couldn't care less about what normal people experience every day.

The Republican congress did nothing. Achieved nothing. Took the mandate they were given and did precisely zero with it. Feckless losers who are relieved to no longer be in the majority. The only thing Republicans do with power is bide their time until they can relinquish it.
People have been saying this for literally 350 years. If no one in 350 years could restore Italy to its previous greatness, when do you suppose it will happen? Italy is an old man on his deathbed. It is a culture that longs for death.

white people’s #1 weakness is being autistically oblivious when other races hate them
however, this ability can be learned

Yeah it means you don't care about the people around you and you only care in theory for people far away from you. Leftists think we don't understand them.
We understand you perfectly well.

Easiest vote I’ve ever cast, even with Ken Paxton being a corrupt douchebag. At least neither he nor his supporters hate my children, my God, or my country.
I’m done with this gay-race-commie crap perpetuated by weirdos who only want to tear down what great people built because they have no purpose or meaning in life.
Imperfect Christians, using imperfect capitalism, built an imperfect Western Civilization, and it’s the greatest thing to happen to mankind. Don’t let losers try to destroy it just because it isn’t perfect.

Remigriamoli tutti.
I really don't mind people using AI as a kind of skeleton or jumping off point for their own work. But when you just post the result it as-is, without editing it or changing its form (like one-sentence paragraphs, not this, just that, etc.), it's a bummer and I kind of just skip over what you put out there.

Friends, the entire point of a Catholic intellectual formation is to produce “magnae animae”—great souls.
A great soul doesn’t invent her own values; rather, she intuits the marvelous intellectual, moral, and aesthetic values that are found in the objective order—and then she responds to them with her whole heart.
She thereby expands in a manner commensurate with the goods that have captivated her.
What happened to her? Why is she like this? Was she always like this?
Megyn Kelly mocks and attacks Haley Stevens for endorsing Mike Rogers. She calls her a “phony” and says Abdul El-Sayed is not antisemitic.
Then Megyn claims Stevens is controlled by AIPAC, says she shouldn’t be criticizing Tucker Carlson, and insists El-Sayed is going to win because he’s running against a neo-con in Rogers that nobody likes.
I’ll take a patriot like Haley Stevens over an Islamist sympathizer like Megyn Kelly any day of the week.

Climate change must have a beef specifically with South Africa. There is no other way to explain this level of infrastructural collapse.
