Thank you @NorfolkKnights on the writeup on our guy @jovinjohnson2 Jovin Johnson (6’7 2028 Collegiate School, VA) Jovin’s length, versatility, physicality and a relentless motor combine to make him one of Virginia’s most intriguing 2028 prospects! Jovin uses his powerful 210 pound frame and length to get downhill where he is a punishing finisher with explosive leaping ability. He uses in and out dribbles and has some wiggle when initiating his attack off the bounce. Jovin likes to initiate contact and, although subtle is sufficient when attacking an angle. Jovin can pull up off the dribble and hit the jumper at a respectable rate. Also hits the catch and shoot jumper. Active rebounder again using his powerful frame and leaping ability, strong hands to secure rebounds and often finish with thunderous one hand slams. He scores out of the post with his back to the basket preferring to go over his right shoulder but can score over either shoulder. Jovin is a high academic student athlete with a 3.7 GPA. Watch for his stock to skyrocket this coming season.
