It turns out having a crack and bucket of determination only gets you so far, before gravity, physics & common sense take over. 47 miles & 5100 ft is plenty for a big lad in this heat. Rode to top of Glandon and back to start. Great event, really enjoyed it, time for a beer now!

Last ride out before next Sundays epic La Marmotte Gran Fondo, 89 miles up to the Trough with 4500ft of elevation, absolutely jiggered in this heat, next week is 4x the elevation!!! we’ve no chance! Was flagging on way home the ice lolly just about saved the day! #doitforthepie
