Smart money at 0.63 with the index flat for a few weeks is the bit I'd flag. This kind of divergence has preceded decent moves before, though direction is never obvious from sentiment alone.

Agreed on the direction. My accountant was already rerunning founder models at higher rates last month. Cheap-money valuations reprice hardest, businesses with real cash flow hold up fine.
Cost of capital is now rising again, just like it did in 2022. This is not good for asset prices in 2027, I remain optimistic but I’m now more sceptical than I was a few months ago.
UK property prices could remain stagnant, and developed market stocks could have a flat 2027. Large-cap NGX stocks and FGN savings bonds are looking good right now.

Good list. I keep coming back to the Rothschild motto on that cover, Concordia Integritas Industria. Pretty much sums up the whole stack.
Agree with the substance here. Founder quality isn't the constraint anymore, capital depth still is. My hunch is that gap closes as European funds scale, but I want to watch the next cycle play out before calling it.

Never been a better time to build in Europe, never seen so many so serious founders tackling major missions in Europe! LOOOONG EURO

Satya Nadella on coding agent usage of Github: "Agent generated PRs have increased 6X over the past six months. And agents now open more than a third of all PRs on the platform."
Ran the numbers recently on UK vs Gulf electricity for a compute project, roughly a 4x gap. That's the commercial reality behind Verchere's point. Power demand will keep pulling gas development forward.
“Gas has always been part of the decarbonisation story, but security is also important. What we have looked at is that, across all energy transition trajectories in Europe, from the fastest to the slowest, Europe will remain an importer of gas”
Christina Verchere, CEO, OMV Petrom, during “Upstream gas strategy: aligning reserve development with market growth” at the ADIPEC Strategic Conference.
Gas development strategy is increasingly connected to power demand.
Proximity to power markets, LNG export infrastructure and regional growth is influencing which reserves move forward. Infrastructure reliability and long-term demand link upstream portfolio choices with domestic energy security and industrial development.
The ADIPEC Strategic Conference brings together energy leaders, policymakers, investors and technology innovators to examine the priorities shaping global energy. Join the wider conversation on resilient supply, investment and the partnerships needed to support long-term growth.

India’s energy expertise. The world’s energy stage.
The India Pavilion at ADIPEC 2026, Abu Dhabi, was inaugurated by Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, in the presence of Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the UAE, and senior leaders from India’s energy industry.
Bringing together leading public and private sector energy companies, the Pavilion showcased India’s technological capabilities, indigenous innovations and expertise across the energy value chain, highlighting the country’s growing global presence and opportunities for international partnerships.
Adding another dimension to India’s showcase, MC², India’s flagship energy innovation initiative, presented a special showcase of the country’s energy innovation ecosystem, highlighting its efforts to connect industry challenges with start-ups, research institutions and emerging technologies, and accelerate solutions from innovation to commercialisation.
A proud showcase of India’s energy strengths, collaborative spirit and ambitions on the global stage.

Same with podcasting. The episodes I thought were played out kept pulling in new listeners months later. Repetition does the heavy lifting.
You could be incredible at what you do and still be the best-kept secret in your industry, because people can’t buy from you if they don’t know what you do.
Publishing means taking your ideas out of your head and turning them into digital assets: videos, podcast episodes, articles, social media posts and, ideally, a book.
Start with your ten best ideas and make them chapters or posts. Then keep repeating them, because people are often hearing an idea for the first time when it’s the 11th time you’ve said it.
Publish the same ideas again and again and it snowballs, building demand until the money starts coming in.
FYI, every business I run creates new assets with permanence every quarter - videos on YouTube, a book every two years, culture documents for onboarding. Watch how I structure them: bit.ly/3U8tDUN
Six patterns, one theme: optionality is getting expensive. Founders I know are building redundant regional structures. Costs more upfront, cheaper than being locked out when the lines harden.
Leading companies are tracking six emerging patterns of geopolitical change and realigning their businesses to achieve resilience, seize growth, and build competitive advantage.
These patterns describe the same underlying shift: Globalization is not retreating; it is realigning along geopolitical lines. mck.co/3Wb3BBg

Sat through similar conversations at ADIPEC before. The data centre load is the wildcard here. Real power demand, but nobody knows how durable it is. Underwriting 20-year supply against it is a bold call.
At @ADIPECOfficial 2026, Marco Dunand, CEO of Mercuria, Rashid Al Mazrouei, Chief Marketing & Origination Officer of @ADNOCGroup, and Patrick Eilers, Founder and Managing Director of Transition Equity Partners, joined @Ed_Crooks of the @TheEnergyGang podcast to explore what could shape the next wave of global LNG demand.

I'd agree on the conviction part, though the LP side is the binding constraint in my experience. Funding capital calls into mark-downs takes liquidity as much as nerve.

I'm not sure they would bother with such a formal naming convention if it were just an image model.
