Andhra is the most beautiful place on Earth 🌎
Audited a Financial Transformation firm at Rushikonda IT SEZ. The office is on hills and valleys with an unreal view of the beach and sea. Absolute heaven. 😍
Why isn’t this one of India’s most talked-about coastal landscapes?
This is Gangavaram Beach, near Visakhapatnam.
Not the conventional image of a tropical beach. No rows of swaying coconut palms or picture-postcard scenery.
Instead, towering rocky cliffs & a rugged, almost prehistoric beauty.
Frankly, I find this kind of raw beauty even more compelling. It’s the sort of place that invites you not just to relax, but to reflect.
And there’s an interesting irony here…
The world’s technology giants are arriving in Vizag to build hyperscale data centres & AI infrastructure.
But judging by these photographs, nature got into the hyperscaling business here millions of years ago!
Vizag is clearly on its way to becoming a major technology hub. But I suspect it also has the potential to become one of India’s most sought-after coastal leisure destinations.
Clearly, there's more than one kind of spectacular growth story unfolding in Vizag…

(Pics courtesy @IndiaAesthetica The colours may have been enhanced a bit, but I suspect the landscape itself will not disappoint)

From Postal Code Challenges to Google's Arrival: The Rise of Rushikonda IT Park!
Between 2006 and 2010, as Rushikonda IT Park in #Visakhapatnam took its first steps toward becoming a tech hub, the handful of companies setting up shop faced a host of unique challenges. Nestled on a hill, the IT Park already contended with logistical hurdles, but the most bizarre issue was the absence of a postal code. When we approached the local post office, we were told that a locality needed an assigned postal code for mail delivery to begin!, a critical oversight for an emerging IT hub.
Fortunately, during those formative years, monthly review meetings provided a platform to address industry challenges. The then District Collector played a pivotal role in resolving this issue. He took up the matter with the Postal Department, leading to the allocation of 530045 as the official postal code for Rushikonda IT Park.
Fast forward a decade and a half, and this same region has transformed into a magnet for global tech giants.
Today, companies like Google are investing billions of dollars in this region, marking its remarkable journey from a pincode-less hilltop to a thriving IT region.
