It’s time for Big Tech to step up. Where are the free or cheap offers of laptops and tablets for school kids from Apple, Lenovo, Dell etc?
So @Samfr maybe you’re the best person to explain how we can help kids in school generally (not just our own) with technology they need for remote learning? What’s the software platform... what sort of tablet (or is it chromebook? Old iPads?). Maybe we can get industry to help...

We fully back this call from @JeffSmithetc to close the digital divide and ensure all pupils - regardless of their background - can learn effectively from home.
With COVID cases rising and more school closures likely, the education gap will widen further without urgent support.
Most children are back at school but many still need to learn remotely, especially if sent home due to a Covid outbreak.
Too many children still have unreliable or no internet access. I urged the Education Secretary to widen #digitalaccess so all pupils can learn at home.
