“As a Jew living under Seleucid occupation, I urge you to support Antiochus IV Epiphanes. Jewish safety depends on a strong, multiracial Hellenistic democracy, and Antiochus is the one fighting to protect it.”
town’s mayor campaign in the news! A fascinating Halachic shaylah. Who has baalus over these signs, the renter or the landlord and can a mayoral candidate take them? abc7ny.com/amp/post/west-ora…
.@mavis_tire My daughter had a 5pm appointment at your Bergenfield, NJ store, confirmed by email AND text. Your tech told her there was no appointment and no tire. When I showed up, both suddenly appeared. A young woman shouldn't need her dad there to get service. #MavisFail

It’s very important that at this time, France has to carefully figure out a political solution and provide a measured response to the rioting.

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.
Just started reading this book and realized it central argument is exactly the point the Rav makes about Torah in his famous essay on Parshat Korach, The Common Sense Rebellion Against Torah Authority. Wow!!!
The saga of my son trying to return to Israel where he is an engineering PHD student @BarIlanU continues. Monday night he was denied a flight on @ELALUSA because they said his Visa was invalid so he went to @IsraelinUSA consulate in NYC today.
The @IsraelinUSA consulate said the vice counsel knows his case and told him they don’t know what’s wrong and they don’t have the authority to figure more out and they have to talk to Israel. Pretty nuts. Who can help solve this? Doesn’t Israel want hi-tech @cooperunion grads?
My son has already missed a week of @BarIlanU, spent time & money to go to @IsraelinUSA consulate, & he might be charged to rebook @ELALUSA if he ever gets his Visa! I thought Israel wants American Jews to help our startup nation. We are beginning to feel we are not wanted!!!
Looking for R' Chaim Dov Chavel's explanation of Gilyon HaShas on Pesachim 6b (אין מוקדם ומאוחר) in HaDarom #30 (c. 1970). Anyone with Otzar HaChochma able to share the pages? #icanhazpdf
Why you have to check every worksheet in Claude before you give it out to the kids. What's wrong with this pic?
Twitter, do your thing! My son, a @BarIlanU PHD student couldn't fly back to Israel on @ELALUSA last night bc when he renewed his visa in Israel they didn't add multiple-entry bc no one understood English!!! He needs an emergency appointment @IsraelinUSA in NYC. Who can help?
