Sometimes we face complicated problems. When we're developing mobile apps with hybrid solutions like @capacitorjs, we will always have some limitations compared to native apps.
I'm building an auto-rich memory system called "Engrams" for @TecsuAI, our #private and #encrypted #aiAssistant. Engrams are markdown files, edited only by the LLM.
To make this easier, you can select text on screen and choose options like "Edit" or "Delete". The problem?Capacitor doesn't have a feature for this.
After some testing and research, we now have a custom native text-selection menu.The menu is injected into iOS's WKWebView selection flow and contains custom actions such as Copy, Edit, Delete, Share, and Select All.
The labels don't need to be hardcoded in Swift. JS can send localized labels to the Capacitor plugin.

Day 10.
It's 11:27 PM here in Brazil, and a lot has happened in the past few hours, time to share more news about @TecsuAI, the AI chat app I'm building for the @RevenueCat #Shipaton.
I'm using @DevinAI , of course, to help me develop this app at lightning speed. A lot is still missing, and today is already the 19th! But things are moving. I must confess I spent several hours customizing an Ionic theme based on #MD3, the current one is still #MD2, and in 2026 that's just unacceptable.
The app ends up looking ugly compared to other apps... Even though I'm a developer, I'm also a designer, and these things really bother me. Despite that, I've probably spent more time than I should making some cool animations and a few Easter eggs for you to discover xD. As bad as that sounds, @devindesktop on my laptop and in the Cloud (image in the post) are helping me prepare the #iOS build and handle the SQLite database.Meanwhile, on my MacBook next to me, I'm fixing some bugs in the CMS and in my chat message renderer to get good performance, more details soon.
I should be updating here more often, but it's been hard to keep up the pace with work, the #Shipaton, and everything else. But let's go!

Day 5!
Five days after my first #buildInPublic post for the @RevenueCat #Shipaton, it's time for another @TecsuAI progress update!
The past few days were pivotal in defining some important things: workflows and the specific direction of Tecsu.
Today we talked with a potential partner to help us with AI inference (more details soon). My brother @haddawaylithely is doing a really great job creating all the screens in @penpot for our app.
We now have cool animations for the Tecsu home screen.We're building with @capacitorjs and @IonicFramework since I'm very familiar with them, and working hard to finish some internal services and foundations (a shared UI component library and a CMS backend generator).
Our goal is to have more than half of the screens done and working by the end of the week.
And honestly, for a long time I haven't felt great or enjoyed programming and creating an app, this is the most fun and cool project I've worked on in years!

In the current market, AI is no longer a side tool. In the studio it favors making.
It sits with the creative mind, with research, with color and form, before anything reaches the table. Fashion houses, ateliers and studios already use it to plan collections, refine images and clear repetitive tasks so craft can stay at the center.
The weak point is still the data. It sits scattered across platforms, tied to a single model, priced and capped in ways that do not match how the work actually moves.
Out of that came the idea for @TecsuAI . A private chat where several of the stronger models sit together, with end-to-end encryption and a clean interface, useful and in continuous growth.
The image is a sketch of that idea in @penpotapp App, already underway.
That is how @TecsuAI came about, with my brother @PatrickALima98 , founder of @nuinalp .

Day 1.
Started #buildinpublic today, something I'd never done before. I even signed up on X just for this. I have until 09/30 for the #shipaton by @revenueCat. Day 9, racing the deadline.
I'm working on @TecsuAI, a private AI chat with multiple models, end-to-end encryption, anonymous chat, image generation, and unlimited Qwen/Gemma.
Self-funded, no VC. Me, my brother, and 3 friends.
