The many replies from people insisting Jews are demons and deserve everything they get is really making me rethink my thesis.
If the New Statesman wants to show solidarity, why does it not also pledge to put its income towards Palestine Action? And the same for the signatories.
OPEN LETTER: Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist. Her books must be available to the public. Their withdrawal from sale, on the basis of ill-conceived and draconian anti terror legislation, is an affront to basic principles of free speech and expression so long taken for granted in this country. We categorically reject censorship - whether direct or indirect - and urge the government to change course, amending the legislation which has led us to this point of repressive absurdity.
Stats for Lefties is still posting on Bluesky and their website makes no mention of no longer being in operation. Their patreon is also up with subscribers (although not clear if they are paying subscribers).

This is the most niche tweet I’ve ever written. But I cannot believe the ease and speed with which @tomhfh just killed off the Stats for Lefties page. One threat to PIP and BAM it’s over. I’m so embarrassed at how niche this is but also I can’t get over how funny at the same time 😂😂😂
Lol, someone mentioned the patreon and benefits and he deep sixes the page. Psychotic little turd.
Just no element of reality touches the sides of the bottomless well of smugness. Products of robust institutions who think those institutions are actually bad. Morons and ingrates wallowing in the filth of their own idiocy.

The BBC doing human interest stories about British people is completely normal and they have always done it. Sure it's banal, sure they should do X other thing. But the idea it proves something deeper is bullshit.
You could not pay me to watch this.
The Beatles biopics producer explains the idea behind releasing all four movies at once in 2028:
"We want people to be able to experience them in the cinema during the same period. Now that doesn't necessarily mean we're thinking that people will go and see all four films on the same day, but you know within the same month you might see one a week, or you might see one one weekend to the next, one the next. However you you see it, I think our hope is that people will see all four films.
You know they they stand alone as individual stories of each of those four men, but they they have a cumulative power, which I think is is greater than the sum of the parts. You know, the Beatles are simply the I think the greatest band in in history, and you know we're trying trying to do our best to do them justice, so hence the four films. I don't think there's probably another band that you could legitimately say you wanted to see four films for."
