New ONS suicide data for 2025 is out.
6,162 people were registered as dying by suicide last year. The numbers remain devastatingly high.
Behind every statistic is a person. Someone who had good days and bad days, people they loved and people who loved them.
The evidence is clear: successive governments have failed to deliver on their promise to make suicide prevention a priority. Today must act as a wake-up call: The current approach is not working.

1 in 4 of us will experience suicidal thoughts, but these thoughts can be interrupted 💚 If you're worried about someone, let them know that they are not alone.

ALT "You can interrupt someone's suicidal thoughts" is in the middle of the page. Around the outside of the page, there are 4 illustrations with text that reads "Call a friend and ask how they're doing. Make small talk with a stranger. Let someone know you're thinking of them. Catch up with a mate who's going through a tough time."
