- Australia pays $12B p/yr subsidies to multinational mining/gas companies who pay absurdly low royalties - also paid barely tens of millions of dollars in taxes on whopping $167B income since 2014 - they get more in subsidies p/year than what they pay Australia in royalties p/yr
