“Did you drop a towel in the pot on purpose? Besides that, I thought I was cooking for us tonight.”

He places all the bags on the ground and starts to rearrange them to try and lighten his load. “So, how many more stores are you planning on hitting? I think my arms are gonna fall off if I have to carry any more bags.

“Gah, what the hell… you’re really tossing candy at me?”

“Oh, really? Well hi to you too.” He sheepishly smiles at her, the sting now feeling less intense. “So, it’s been a while, how have things been going?”

“I kinda figured, you’ve been know to work in the shadows recently and I guess Geno decided now was the time to make your move.”

“You got it, anything you particularly fancy? I can get take out or I can try cooking something, just a heads up that it may not be the best.”

“Well we’ve got time if you’re up for sharing? Don’t feel pressured to answer though.” His body language relaxes, now feeling a bit more at ease around her.

“Do you want me to grab you something? I honestly don’t mind.”

“Had a feeling you’d show up again once word of the sliver got around.”

“You were actually in Pandora’s Box?!? How the heck did you escape and find yourself here?”

“Yeah, well I have a feeling this next mission is going to be tricky and need all the help we can get.”

“Wait you’re here? Like actually here, Hope told me you were back on Oninoshima.”

He walks over and slowly sits down next to her as their bodies gently brush together. Leaning over, he passes her one of the mugs while cradling the other in his hands. “So, is there a reason why you aren’t sleeping right now?”

“I see, well at least it’s over now and you can relax.” He moves down on the couch, leaving space for her to sit down.
