It continues to be ridiculous that the world's deadliest infectious disease is CURABLE, yet six people died from it in the time it took me to write this tweet. @DanaherCorp denying millions access to affordable, accurate TB tests is unacceptable. #PeopleOverProfits
. @DanaherCorp makes 8 billion dollars in annual profits. Much of that profit comes from price-gouging the world's poorest countries for life-saving tuberculosis tests. Danaher has done this in the dark for 13 long years.
Today, we shine the light. #PeopleOverProfits
I think I just got discriminated on for riding the bus…wait what? A man pulled up in front of the bus stop where Sara and I are sitting and yelled, “Haaaaa bus riiiiide!” And then drove off.

👀 Sneak a peek at the deepest & sharpest infrared image of the early universe ever taken — all in a day’s work for the Webb telescope. (Literally, capturing it took less than a day!) This is Webb’s first image released as we begin to #UnfoldTheUniverse: nasa.gov/webbfirstimages/

ALT The background of space is black. Thousands of galaxies appear all across the view. Their shapes and colors vary. Some are various shades of orange, others are white. Most stars appear blue, and are sometimes as large as more distant galaxies that appear next to them. A very bright star is just above and left of center. It has eight bright blue, long diffraction spikes. Between 4 o’clock and 6 o’clock in its spikes are several very bright galaxies. A group of three are in the middle, and two are closer to 4 o’clock. These galaxies are part of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723, and they are warping the appearances of galaxies seen around them. Long orange arcs appear at left and right toward the center.
Mask mandates may be gone here but mad respect to the kid who ran far away from his group to sneeze into his elbow. Kids are alright.
The total prize money on #SquidGame is 0.020% of Jeff Bezos wealth (according to my very basic googling and math)
My boss for the day tried to get me to not take a break after 7 and half hours straight on my feet working and yelling and taking pictures so I literally just walked out to take my break. Know your rights y’all. Let your body rest- you’ll do better work anyways.
Today I photographed a middle school girl who honestly said “I don’t know what I look like without filters anymore” So uhhh that was pretty fucking sad to hear
Did you know Jeff Bezos is 5’7’’??? I thought all rich powerful people were 6’2’’. Why do we let him do the things he does? *I* MIGHT BE TALLER THAN JEFF BEZOS
Shoutout to customer in the top floor penthouse of a downtown skyscraper for not tipping a single cent. Enjoy your fucking Chipotle.
There’s a line out into the street for Covid testing again in Seattle. Probably get your shot idk though maybbbbbe
The word “woot” feels like a relic of a long distant time. I just saw it written on a car as part of a graduation celebration and was transported to the Stone Age. A bit of searching and Google Trends has validated me
Anyone else a creative type about to turn 30 struggling with pandemic feels and life and mental health and the horrifying but occasionally beautiful reality that surrounds us on a daily basis still thinking about Inside or is that just me?
Had someone at work pronounce the name “Josue” Joe-Sue (wrong) and then Joshua (technically closer) he was very flustered and I could not help but laugh a little – at Seattle, WA
