Deservedly scathing op-ed by the NYT: β€œIf Democrats retake both houses of Congress, and more state governments than they now control, it will tell the world that Mr. Trump does not represent most Americans. It will demonstrate that a country that starts to slide toward autocracy can move back to normalcy, as happened in Hungary this spring. Most important, it will create a desperately needed check on Mr. Trump during his final two years in office. … In a 21-month span, he has done more harm to democracy and the rule of law than any other president in the modern era and perhaps longer than that. He has broken his oath to defend the Constitution by trying to rewrite it on his own. He has refused to honor Congress’s power of the purse and misused national security laws for political ends. He has defied federal court orders on Medicaid funding, deportation orders and more. He has dismantled the Justice Department’s legacy as an impartial enforcer of federal law, turning it into an instrument of retribution against his adversaries while canceling investigations into his allies. He has appointed inept sycophants to oversee crucial government functions, including law enforcement, national defense and public health. He has sought to disenfranchise large numbers of voters, claiming fraud that cannot be found, and championed an extreme new approach to partisan gerrymandering. He has physically besmirched the White House by demolishing the East Wing and financing a garish renovation with donations from wealthy allies.” nytimes.com/2026/10/27/opini…

#OTD Oct 13, 1970: Angela Davis was arrested in New York City and charged with unlawful flight to avoid persecution for her alleged role in a Marin County, California, courthouse shoot-out which left 4 persons dead. The raid on the courthouse had been designed to free imprisoned Black nationalist George Jackson. Authorities charged Davis with supplying the guns during the raid. However, a jury later found her not guilty. #History history.com/articles/angela-…

A brother on Facebook keeps sharing this, and it keeps getting removedπŸ€”. If you know him, please tag him here. I simply wanted to tidy it up and repost it. With election season approaching, people deserve to see this record again. Let's settle the claim: "#Democrats have done nothing for Black Americans." Are Democrats perfect NO, and Black Americans have every right to demand more. Still, "nothing" requires ignoring generations of laws, policies, and results that Black activists, organizers, and leaders forced into existence. The record: Truman: desegregated the armed forces (1948). #JFK : created affirmative action for federal contractors and signed the Equal Pay Act. #LBJ: signed the #CivilRightsAct, #VotingRightsAct, Fair Housing Act, #Medicare and #Medicaid, Head Start, the Economic Opportunity Act, and major education funding laws. #JimmyCarter: signed the Community Reinvestment Act, pushing banks to lend fairly in Black communities. #BillClinton: signed the Family and Medical Leave Act, Motor Voter law, Violence Against Women Act, and expanded the Earned Income Tax Credit. #BarackObama: signed the Affordable Care Act (cutting the Black uninsured rate by more than half), the Fair Sentencing Act, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, and Dodd-Frank. He appointed 62 Black #federaljudges, named the first Black attorney general, and nominated the first Black woman as deputy AG-equivalent leadership roles across government. He commuted more sentences than the six prior presidents combined. #JoeBiden: signed the American Rescue Plan (cutting child poverty to record lows), the Infrastructure Law, the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. His administration delivered $17 billion to #HBCU’s, tripled SBA lending to Black-owned businesses, and confirmed 235 federal judges - including 66 Black judges and 40 #Blackwomen, more than any administration in history. He made #Juneteenth a federal holiday, selected #KamalaHarris as the first Black woman vice president, and nominated #KetanjiBrownJackson as the first Black woman on the Supreme Court. So when someone says "Democrats have done nothing," ask them which part they think doesn't exist: the Civil Rights Act? Medicare and Medicaid? The Fair Sentencing Act? The first Black VP? The first Black woman on the Supreme Court? The first Black President Black voters examine the whole record - civil rights, healthcare, education, courts, business, and economic opportunity. Democrats still owe Black America more, and accountability continues. "Nothing" is still false. What’s crazy I’m missing stuff! I'm putting the record back up. Read it, save it, share it - and bring the receipts.

Trump actually said that he won't send Federal aid to non-Republican states. This is a violation of a presidents sworn duties per Article II, section 3 of the Constitution to "Take care that the laws be faithfully executed!" This means to uphold the law without political bais.

🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS: BLACK UNEMPLOYMENT JUMPS TO 7.0% 🚨🚨 πŸ“‰ BLACK UNEMPLOYMENT IS RISING The latest employment data show Black unemployment at 7.0% in September 2026, up a full 1 percentage point from 6.0% in August. That comes as the broader labor market added only 29,000 jobs in September, signaling a significant slowdown in hiring. πŸ“Š SEPTEMBER 2026 UNEMPLOYMENT RATES πŸ”΄ Black or African American: 7.0% 🟠 Hispanic or Latino: 4.7% βšͺ White: 3.6% πŸ”΅ Asian: 2.9% πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ U.S. overall: 4.2% The gap is substantial: Black unemployment was 3.4 percentage points higher than the White unemployment rate in September. And this isn’t just another economic statistic. Jobs mean income. Jobs mean housing stability. Jobs mean the ability to support families, build wealth and keep communities moving forward. πŸ“Œ THE NUMBERS DESERVE ATTENTION. The data tell us WHAT is happening. Understanding WHY Black workers are being affected disproportionately requires looking deeper at industries, layoffs, hiring, labor-force participation and other economic factors. I'm thinking that November will be the tell all for America. I'm believing that Americans who are feeling the pain inflicted by Trump and his administration, will come out and vote against all Republicans. I'm thinking that those who normally sit back and not vote, finally have a reason to go to the polls and vote. I'm hoping that every Independent voter will come out and make the right decision. I'm also thinking that normal conservative Republicans are tired of what they're seeing and feeling from this president. I'm hopeful that the farmers, he's bankrupted will go the polls and make a change. I'm hoping that every race of people will understand that this administration is for the wealthy. Not, minorities. Come November, we will see what kind of country we really are.
