The McColl Germanic study is good but a bit weird „We are trying to understand the spread of Germanic, so let’s look at Medieval samples from England and Italy and not at the Iron Age Przeworsk culture. Iron Age Netherlands is not Germanic because it's not like Medieval England“

The Hassleben Leuna group, described as Elbe Germanic, but i think they are Rhine Weser Germanic because of their profile and because Hassleben, like Hessen, is named after the Chatti/Hassi. The Gommern chieftain was also identified as Chatti. Alpines as far north as Thuringia.

Most of the Germanics in Czech_IA_LaTene plot on top of modern German variation. The 3 fresh from Scandinavia not, but the rest. They either started more Central or have Celtic. You can see in 2/2 that they are Nonlocal. Also look at modern PL versus the 7 unnamed PL_Medieval 1/2

Supplementary Tables, Gretzinger 2024, Steppe numbers of a few ancient groups. Franks are the uppermost. There is direct continuity from the Middle Bronze Age Lech population to later Celts, but Austria LaTene has 2% more Steppe than Lech MBA.
