Paying £12 billion quid in ONE YEAR for foreign nationals to receive welfare benefits, more than half of whom are not working at all, is a total disgrace. That money should go on our schools, our hospitals, on building new prisons, and to the British people.

Last night the @Conservatives stood with hardworking taxpayers.
Lifting the two-child cap is unfair, unaffordable and it won’t lift children out of poverty.
We need more jobs, better wages and stronger growth...not endless handouts.

Or growth growth growth.
Or our spending plans are fully costed.
Or there will be no need for major rises in taxes.
Or … oh just add your own.

No. Labour inherited a lot of debt in July 2024 because of massive spending during the pandemic — which Labour supported, indeed it wanted more — and post-Ukraine invasion energy subsidies — which Labour supported, indeed it wanted more. The pandemic is no more and energy prices have been falling back. But still Labour has managed to increase debt/borrowing to record levels at a record pace when a prudent government would have started to reduce borrowing. Next question.

Does anybody else feel cheated that they’re going to have to pay higher taxes and the income thresholds will be frozen for longer, all so Labour can scrap the two-child benefit cap and give more handouts to those who don’t want to work?
It’s disgusting and unfair to workers.

I’d like to congratulate @RyderCupEurope on their victory. Your team play the first few days was sensational.
More importantly, I’d like to apologize for the rude and mean-spirited behavior from our American crowd at Bethpage.
As a former player, Captain and as an American, I am ashamed of what happened. #RyderCup
