🇪🇷 A first for #Eritrea! A team of young Eritrean innovators has been selected for the @Y4Cofficial Call for Solutions 2026 with their bio-wall system — one of 50 projects selected from 2,677 proposals across 121 countries. With @UNDP's support, the team will implement their project over the next two years and present it at the #Youth4Climate programme in Italy this month. Congratulations to the team! 🇪🇷 #ClimateAction

Jawar has been fabricating lies about #Eritrea lately, but nothing he says or does can withstand the test of time and fact. Notice here the selective pattern, #Ethiopia: how #JawarMohammed is loud and clear about Moyale, quick to demand that #Kenya prosecute “inciters.” Yet, he remains silent about the Orthodox Christians killed in Arsi, the very area or zone he is from and has spent years talking about. What the world has witnessed in Arsi is nothing but a coordinated horror: church burnings and innocent people slaughtered simply for being Orthodox civilians. Not a single statement from him for the last 3 days. Zero, zilch, nada. No call for accountability. No demand that the Ethiopian regime authorities (his "ultra-radical" Oromo elites & political friends) investigate or protect the people in his own region. Check out his account yourself (I am including snippets for the record 👇🏾). Instead, his focus stays fixed on the Borana-Garre border clash so the conversation remains centered on Kenya and external actors. Meanwhile, his protégés are deployed in classic Potemkin fashion to falsely pin the crimes on “Tsimdo” (distant actors). Clearly, the plan is to do anything to keep the spotlight off him and his own ultra-radical Oromo elites & political friends or affiliates. That is selective outrage by design. Given his background and long history of rhetoric that has preceded deadly unrest over the years, his silence on Arsi is meant to keep him free and clear while directing others to look elsewhere. When the pattern points toward forces and rhetoric linked to ultra-radical Oromo ideology (whatevet it is), his commentary disappears. When it can be framed as someone else’s problem, the posts appear. Nice try, though. People notice the difference between performative concern and strategic silence. The facts speak louder than the deflection. You can't outrun a pattern this obvious, and keep Eritrea out of your dirty mouth.
Kenyan security and judicial institutions must rein in individuals inciting and exacerbating communal conflict in southern Ethiopia. Following the latest outbreak of fighting between the Borana and Gari clans, some Kenyan political and media figures have been circulating extremely dangerous messages, in some cases more inflammatory than those coming from individuals directly involved in the conflict on the Ethiopian side. They have also reportedly engaged in fundraising campaigns to procure and send weapons to the warring parties. Kenya is already feeling the effects of the violence, with thousands of people fleeing across the border in search of humanitarian protection. Unless such incitement is contained, it will not only intensify the conflict inside Ethiopia but also risk spilling over into Kenya, where members of the affected communities live on both sides of the border, including in Nairobi. I therefore appeal to Kenyan security agencies to investigate those inciting violence and the relevant judicial authorities to prosecute offenders in accordance with the law before the situation escalates and causes even greater harm to both countries.

Wonderful to meet H.E. Arrmanatha Nasir, Foreign Minister of #Indonesia, during a journey to Indonesia, with colleagues from #Africa, the #Caribbean, Southeast Asia and the #Pacific. As a former colleague @UN, it was a pleasure to reconnect, exchange views, and explore avenues for further cooperation and collaboration between our two countries. The visit offered a valuable opportunity for @UN Permanent Representatives to gain deeper insights into Indonesia, explore opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations, and foster greater cooperation and mutual understanding. Home to approximately 280 million people across some 17,000 islands, Indonesia is a remarkable tapestry of 1300 cultures, languages, and traditions, united under the founding philosophy of Pancasila. Its principles of belief in God, just and civilized humanity, national unity, deliberative democracy, and social justice resonate with #Eritrea’s foundational principles of national unity, self-reliance, social justice, and popular participation. Rooted in distinct historical experiences but united by shared aspirations, #Eritrea and #Indonesia are committed to building cohesive, sovereign nations in which diversity is a source of strength and national unity serves the collective good. These shared principles provide a strong foundation for deepening bilateral friendship and cooperation, anchored in mutual respect, sovereign equality, and solidarity, and advancing South-South cooperation. For the PRs traveling together, is also a great opportunity to update reach other on developments in our respective regions…

#Ethiopia: Abiy Ahmed signed an MoU with Somaliland, then ran to Türkiye begging to restore the very relationship with Somalia he had BEFORE signing it. 😂 He poured UAE money into endless ZERAFs and RATs war threats and propaganda against Eritrea. Now he's knocking on Russia's door to help him make peace with “Isu”, “Wedi Afom” - PIA himself, the man with dynamite balls. Threaten today. Beg tomorrow. Repeat. This boy king creates diplomatic disasters, then outsources the cleanup. What kind of CHARLATAN politics is this? 😂

The Potemkin Party continues to double down on its campaign of war and unremitting hostility against Eritrea by dwelling on revisionist historical narratives and the deplorable denigration of Eritrea's legitimate, decades-old, process of decolonization achieved through unparalleled and precious sacrifices. In this vein, one of PP's official mouthpieces - Fana Broadcasting Corporation - disparages, on its X account today, Eritrea's overall development policy and what it dubs as "stagnation of Assab". Furthermore, it laments the loss of "Ethiopia's Red Sea coastline", due, in its warped mind, "to conspiracy of external adversaries". These pitiful diatribes are symptomatic of the incurable war psychosis that has gripped the Potemkin Party for years now. Indeed, it is obvious that the PP will require massive reconfiguration in its mindset/soft-ware for reason and sanity to prevail. As it is, the antidote for its multi-layered malaise does not lie in the propagation of revisionist history; and/or in the flagrant violation of foundational pillars and principles of international law. The fact is: 1. A regime that is presiding over an ailing economy where 68.7% of the population are classified as "multidimensionally poor" (WB terminology) in spite of massive international assistance; and, 2. That is seething under interminable internal costly conflicts of its own making; is not in a position to pontificate to its neighbours about astute development policy or the fostering of good-neighborly ties anchored on mutual respect of each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. xitter.cf/hawelti/status/1970139…
The obsession/political frenzy of PP (aka Potemkin Party) officials to manufacture a non-existent regional crisis in pursuit of toxic and illicit "sovereign access to the sea" is perhaps at its zenith these days. The barrage of daily disinformation/provocation whose hallmarks are: i) stale revision and distortion of Eritrea's history (statements at Ceremony on "Promotion" of the regime's top military brass on Saturday); ii) willful intent to tamper with cardinal principles of international law, including the sanctity of colonial boundaries; and, iii) reckless saber-rattling; belie the misguided priorities of a regime bent on incubating regional crises to deflect attention from its multiple domestic challenges. The Horn of Africa Region does not need or deserve another bout of unnecessary and avoidable conflict and turmoil; afflicted as it is by a plethora of other debilitating problems. This is the unequivocal message that should be conveyed - in no uncertain terms - by all those who harbour sincere wishes for the welfare of the peoples of the region. xitter.cf/hawelti/status/1965070…

No Threats, No Forced Access: Cairo Draws the Red Line on Eritrea’s Sovereignty Egypt and the UN Chief stress de-escalation, mutual agreement, and commercial access amid rising tensions in the Horn of Africa. In Cairo, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty outlined discussions between President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and UN Secretary-General António Guterres on regional stability, escalating tensions in the Horn of Africa, and the threat of a possible military attack on Eritrea. The message was clear: de-escalation must prevail, and maritime access must be built on mutual agreement not threats or force. Abdelatty emphasized two fundamental principles for any military or maritime access arrangement: it must serve legitimate commercial purposes and be based on mutual understanding and agreement with neighboring countries. At a time when rhetoric surrounding access to the Red Sea is raising concerns across the region, these principles carry particular weight. No country's pursuit of economic or strategic interests can justify undermining the sovereignty, territorial integrity, or security of its neighbors. The Red Sea is a vital artery for regional and global trade. Its future should be shaped by cooperation, respect for international law, and peaceful agreements not intimidation, military adventurism, or imposed arrangements. The discussions also addressed Egypt's water security and the long-running dispute over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). Abdelatty reiterated President el-Sisi's position that the right to development must be balanced with the fundamental right to life and existence, highlighting the need for a negotiated solution. From maritime security to water security, Cairo's message points toward a fundamental principle: lasting stability cannot be built by threatening a neighbor's existence or disregarding its legitimate rights. For the Horn of Africa, the choice remains clear: dialogue over confrontation, cooperation over coercion, and respect for sovereignty over dangerous ambitions. Peace is built through mutual agreement. Sovereignty is not negotiable. #Eritrea #Egypt #AntónioGuterres #HornOfAfrica #RedSea #Sovereignty #InternationalLaw #PeaceAndSecurity #Ethiopia @antonioguterres @EgyptForeignMin @UN
