Keynoting Engels-Fest in Eastbourne, off which his ashes were scattered into the sea in 1895. Held over from the bicentenary 2018 but also celebrating 175th of Communist Manifesto. blogs.brighton.ac.uk/engelsi…
Interesting that a cascade of resignations follows when a man gropes a man, and BJ's subsequent appointments are two men, passing over a woman. Homosociality must be defended! Especially at the Carlton Club! It's all about het-males as sexual subjects, not objects.
Terrific edited collection on Engels just published, the first with global participation and very fine German participation, including interesting 20th century literary angles.
