Okay, that's it. I'm pinning this. I'm being drawn ever closer to the proposition that a majority of X's 611 million (alleged) users are in fact AI masquerades, fake-name trolls and Putinbots.

Apparently someone decided there was more rock bottom to hit after the ad with Amy Acton's mom. Not affiliated with El Sayed's campaign but he's certainly not going to disavow it. I'm not in the "anti-Israel rhetoric is antisemitic" camp but this is pretty bad

Different times, same ignorance. Arm Ukraine and prolong the war! Why not peace with Putin? Putin has not attacked us, why attack Putin? People who are making these statements today are the same people who would be welcoming Hitler during the WW2.

I’ll take a shot at answering one of these good questions. These poor young people are not dying for "no reason". They’re dying because Vladimir Putin's Russia invaded Ukraine and Ukrainians don’t want to be murdered. I hope this helps.

Zelenskyy reports using Starlink for strikes on enemy targets in *Ukrainian* territory. Besides, the "terms of service" of some private corporation cannot be allowed to determine a sovereign nation's capacity to repulse an invading army.
Replying to @elonmusk
For the fools out there, Zelensky himself posted about using Starlink for offensive drone strikes, which has always been against Starlink’s terms of service:

Zelenskyy: I offered the US three options if they want us to stop hitting Russian refineries: 1. Russia stops attacking our energy. 2. Open Starlink over Russian ballistic missile launch sites. 3. Give us Patriot missiles. We got none. Instead, Starlink was restricted.

💥 The Pentagon has designated 🇨🇳 Confucius Institutes, Chinese-funded cultural centers on university campuses, as a threat to US national security. 🇨🇳 Confucius Institutes have been operating under disguise at US universities. “It turns out ‌that 80 new propaganda cells across 30 universities had popped up using different names and different charters, but with the same mission: to steal intellectual property and to infiltrate the minds of American students.” The Defense Department has systematically dismantled every single one of these organizations over the past two months. reuters.com/world/china/pent…

Musk has spent $446 million backing Republicans in the midterms. Meanwhile, your husband profits off a drone company whose valuation has been bolstered by tech developed and battle-tested in Ukraine. You’ve certainly grown into a proper Russian agent of influence in that every accusation you level is a confession.
Look at the Senators and Members of Congress that are currently attacking @Starlink regarding Ukraine. None of these elected officials have engaged in PEACE talks. Now look at who is donating to their campaign and check out their stock portfolios. There is a reason why they want the war to continue. The UNITED STATES HAS SENT BILLIONS TO UKRAINE. 25,000 HUMANS are DYING a month due to the war. We MUST lead the negations to end the war. STARLINK is NOT responsible for the FAILED foreign policy of the previous administration or CONGRESS. There was only ONE Democrat to date, in the entire House of Represenatives that was WILLING to engage in peace talks. END THE WAR!

Benjamin Netanyahu has done much for Israel over a long career and deserves to be remembered as one of its most consequential leaders. I particularly admire his leadership against Iran’s regime and his economic reforms that helped unleash Israel’s technology boom. But his failure to grasp the potentially devastating threat of U.S. financial and economic warfare against Israel—and his faith in a “resistance economy” as the answer—are deeply troubling. I say this as someone who helped design the Iran sanctions playbook over more than two decades and remains passionately committed to defending democracies like Israel, Taiwan. Ukraine and others. I know firsthand the power of these weapons. If the current coalition returns to power with the same policies, and Democrats take the White House in 2029, this financial warfare campaign against Israel is inevitable.

🚨 THOUSANDS PROTEST ERDOGAN’S CRACKDOWN ON PRESS FREEDOM Thousands rally in Istanbul and Ankara over arrests, censorship and media shutdowns. At least 3,000 gathered in Istanbul. Eleven journalists have been jailed in two months. Police recently raided Halk TV, halted broadcasts and installed a government administrator. Protesters chant: “We will not be silenced. A lot of the recent drama on the right in BC came from a crazy right populist splinter party, @One_BCHQ. Made up of self styled “real conservatives” with the usual assortment of weird obsessions & conspiracy theories: vaccines, ostrich farms, chem trails, xenophobia, MAGA North, all communicated with the volume nob stuck on 10. Basically the BC counterpart of hard core Alberta separatist activists, or Bernier’s @peoplespca. Tonight they’re at 1.4% of the vote, after two years of being a hugely divisive distraction on the right of BC politics. Yet another reminder to Conservative parties: ignore the crazy fringe of the hard populist right. Don’t let the tail wag the dog. Let them stay in their little fringe parties. Being a principled conservative party does not mean pandering to incoherent, perennially angry populism. Instead, propose bold, thoughtful policy reforms rooted in conservative principles that appeal to the broad mainstream. Just like the @Conservative_BC did in this winning campaign.

Plausible.
One of the largest disinformation campaigns in recent years is now unfolding on the X platform. This large-scale bot, troll farm and paid influencer campaign is aimed at deflecting blame away from those that throttled Ukraine's Starshield/Starlink access onto Ukraine itself.

Islamist terrorists carried out a horrific massacre against Jordan’s Christian community today in Karak, south of Amman. The three attackers opened fire during a funeral at St. George Orthodox Church, killing seven people and wounding dozens in an atrocity that sent shockwaves through Christian communities across the Middle East. King Abdullah II vowed to confront those seeking to destabilize Jordan and threaten its centuries-old Christian presence. Jordanians from across the political spectrum have rallied behind his commitment to combating ISIS-inspired Islamist terrorism. Public outrage intensified after CCTV footage of the attack circulated online, revealing the cold-blooded targeting of defenseless civilians gathered to mourn a loved one. What is particularly revealing is that some of the same people condemning today’s massacre of Jordanian Christians celebrated or excused Hamas’s equally brutal murder of Israeli civilians on October 7. It is remarkable how readily some affirm the sanctity of innocent civilian life in one context and correctly denounce its killing as terrorism, yet deny that same humanity in another and rebrand the murder of civilians as “resistance.”

Time for Europe to deploy troops to Western Ukraine and think about how a NFZ can be put in place over Ukrainian cities. Any escalation by russia should be matched.

Rubio knows perfectly well that this is a LIE. And so does everyone else. This war was NEVER just about Donbas. Russia invaded through Belarus to capture Kyiv, attempted to overthrow Ukraine’s government, attacked the country from multiple directions, and tried to seize territory far beyond Donbas. Putin has repeatedly denied Ukraine’s right to exist as an independent nation. His demands have always gone far beyond territory: they concern Ukraine’s sovereignty, its foreign policy, and its right to choose its own future. Reducing Russia’s war of aggression to a dispute over “one region” is repeating the Kremlin’s narrative. And Rubio knows better.
NEW!! Rubio on Russia's war in Ukraine: "... people keep talking about it’s a war in Ukraine.  That war is about Donbas. It’s about one region of the country."

Feeble answer to a question about whether he’s ignoring the “principles” part of his “principled pragmatism.” It’s simply not true that the alternative to saying nothing about human right is “not to engage” at all. Leaders decide how to balance competing interests & concerns.
Q: At what point is raising human rights issues enough, and does that just give you carte blanche to do business however you want? Mark Carney: If you're not speaking to people, you have no ability to actually raise these issues.
