If you caught our show Sunday night, you heard us ask a pretty obvious question: For a group of people accused of orchestrating an elaborate conspiracy to frame Karen Read, why did they leave so much to chance? Think about it - if the goal was to frame Karen for John's death, there were countless opportunities they missed. They could have described a volatile relationship between Karen and John. Claimed Karen was visibly intoxicated at the Waterfall. Reported hearing an argument, tires screeching, or an engine revving outside 34 Fairview. And when John was discovered? They could have immediately pointed the finger at Karen, raised suspicions about her broken taillight, and made sure first responders knew exactly who they believed was responsible and most importantly, MADE SURE HER LEXUS WAS AT THE CRIME SCENE THAT MORNING! But that's not what they did. Instead, the accounts they gave that morning to the first responders included observations that didn't particularly help build a case against Karen. And many of the accusations you might expect from people supposedly working together to frame someone were never made. We've put together just a FEW examples from Sunday's discussion comparing what witnesses said and did with what they could have said and done if their objective had been to frame Karen. And here's the part we keep coming back to: We're supposed to believe this conspiracy was so meticulously planned that it allegedly involved everything down to a Faraday bag...yet the people supposedly involved couldn't manage to coordinate a few incriminating statements from the jump? 🚨A STATEMENT FROM THE FORENSIC ROOM: Last night, during a livestream that has already reached more than 70,000 people, Melanie Little made serious and completely false accusations against the five women of The Forensic Room, claiming that we have doxxed, harassed, and targeted her. She didn’t just make false accusations against us. She singled out five women and encouraged her audience to dig into our personal lives. That is targeting, and it raises serious concerns about our privacy and safety. Let us be absolutely clear: We have NEVER doxxed Melanie Little, threatened her, encouraged anyone to harass her, or engaged in any campaign against her. We are five women who host a YouTube show discussing publicly available information, court proceedings, testimony, and evidence. We do not take our discussions offline to target, intimidate, or harass anyone. We have been outspoken in our support of John O’Keefe’s family and the witnesses in the Karen Read case. We make no apologies for that support, and we will not be bullied into silence because of it. We find it particularly disturbing that someone with such a large platform would broadcast these accusations to an enormous audience without providing evidence to substantiate them. Statements like these can have real-world consequences, particularly when they expose private individuals to unwanted attention, hostility, and harassment. Disagreement is not harassment. Supporting witnesses is not doxxing. And exercising our right to speak publicly is not intimidation. The reckoning is finally here. And people are FED UP. For years, we’ve watched a particularly ugly corner of true crime flourish online: accuse first, investigate never, turn real people into characters, build conspiracies around them, collect clicks and donations - and move on to the next victim when the engagement dries up. But something is changing. People are fighting back. The McCabes, the Alberts and Brian Higgins have spent years being publicly accused of participating in the murder of John O’Keefe. The young men connected to the Nolan Wells case were publicly accused of murder and other horrific acts. Patrick Clancy, after suffering the unimaginable loss of his three children, has been subjected to conspiracy theories accusing him of being responsible for their deaths. Different cases. Different people. Same poisonous business model. Take speculation. Present it as fact. Find a villain. Convince an audience they’re evil. Monetize the outrage. And when the actual evidence doesn’t support the story? Who cares? There’s another livestream tomorrow. Except the people being targeted DO care. Their families care. Their children care. Their employers care. Their communities care. Their reputations and lives matter. These aren’t fictional characters created for someone’s true-crime content. They are human beings. The national media repeatedly reporting on a text Kevin Reddington sent Turtleboy is astounding considering NOT ONE of them—not even the Boston media—has reported on the texts between Turtleboy and David Yannetti, despite both publicly denying they were communicating. No mention of Yannetti reportedly texting Turtleboy that he was worried he could be arrested and would have to stop contacting (harassing) the witnesses. No mention of Yannetti praising Turtleboy’s “work”—while witnesses and members of the O’Keefe family were being relentlessly targeted, harassed, and abused. No mention of Yannetti alerting Turtleboy that Jen McCabe’s HPO had been denied. How is THAT not a major story?
