I’ve talked with a few contact tracers in the US. What I’ve heard is that, so far in US states that still have a shelter-at-home order, the median number of contacts is 2. Most ppl just stay at home and there’s very little contact tracing to make. [1/7]

Why does contact tracing matter?
When people contract COVID, they don't show symptoms right away. Because exposed individuals begin infecting others, it is critical that we trace who they may have been in contact with so those people can be tested and quarantined if necessary.
