Anyone in the DFW area know of a tax attorney, or Estate attorney/CPA group that handles FLPs? It has assets of approx. $7M, from what I've been told, and the patriarch is approaching 91. The family needs help/guidance that is a bit outside my realm.
TIA!
Isn't Norton AV great?
Norton: You have 38,935 issues to fix.
Me: Dang it!
Norton: Want us to fix it?
Me: Please!
Norton: That'll be another $58.69 through Dec 31st.
Me: Wait, I've already paid you.
Norton: That was for monitoring & analysis, this fee is for the actual fix.🤡

It’s July 15th. We are halfway through the tax year.
Where does your P&L stand for your card resell operations?
I’m a tax professional and reseller. I built a tool to fix the part every reseller ignores - cost basis, Schedule C, and audit defense.
Looking for 2-3 serious operators to give free Suite access for 12 months in exchange for feedback.
DM me if you want in.
Thanks IRS for wasting 4 hours today. First time calling, 2 hour wait, almost secured an IA with the agent, then disconnect (hung up). 2nd call, 2 hour hold, then hold music goes silent (picked up and hung up). That’s ok….
I sold SpaceX at the absolute peak and I made a massive $195 profit in 25 minutes; ask me anything. 🤣

Despite eBay’s decision to permaban my account.
V1.8 continues to be developed for eBay users. A one-time login between KKATC Cards and your main account:
All of your purchases will be imported to inventory with your cost basis properly recorded based on the transaction.
All your eBay sales with a click of a button will be imported with proceeds properly broken out based on the transaction.
The goal is to only reduce manual importing to your off-marketplace inventory/sales and other expenses for your resale operation.
Once you import your offline transactions, you will have a professional-grade Schedule C and soon to come Schedule E workpapers built by a tax professional with IRC and IRM guidance built in. Ready to hand to your CPA or import into your own software.
That is only the reseller use case.
Breakers, Stack Sellers and Lots operations use cases are live.
That is what KKATC Cards is.
Designed to reduce your increasing tax burden.
I’m so hyped about KKATC Cards V1.8…
If you sell exclusively on a marketplace one sign into KKATC Cards and your eBay account and all of your purchases will be mapped to inventory with cost basis already defined. All of your current listings will be marked as live in the inventory tab. All of your sales on eBay will be marked sold with net proceeds. All of this will be mapped to a Schedule C work paper that you can bring to your accountant or import into your tax preparation system.
KKATC Cards shows you what your collection is worth AND what you owe on the gain AND what you need to do about it AND generates the Schedule C to prove it.
eBay integration done. What marketplace should we do next?

In the past month I had 2 different clients tell me they purchased a Cadillac Escalade…for $145,000. Neither are earning more than $300K annually. What are we doing folks?

Are taxpayers still having payments processed by the IRS more than a month after the deadline? In 2026, taxpayers and tax professionals are still navigating a series of systemic and procedural processing hurdles.
While the IRS is still accepting checks for now, paper processing remains the slowest, most error-prone method of payment. For individuals, the legacy Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) is also being phased out in late 2026, forcing a transition to the IRS Individual Online Account or Direct Pay. Adapting to these new portals has caused confusion and occasionally resulted in misrouted or rejected payments.
Even with digital payments, the IRS is fundamentally constrained by its backend systems, which update in batches rather than in real-time. It is incredibly common for a taxpayer to submit a payment via IRS Direct Pay, see the funds withdrawn from their bank account within 48 hours, but not see the payment reflected on their official IRS account transcript for several days. This batch-processing lag is the exact reason why automated collection notices (like the CP14) are often issued in error. The IRS computer generates a balance-due notice before the system officially credits the received payment to the ledger.
Even in a modernized digital environment, human input errors cause massive processing delays. If a payment is submitted electronically but the taxpayer selects the wrong tax year, the wrong form type (e.g., applying a payment to a final 1040 instead of a quarterly estimated tax payment), or the primary/secondary taxpayer mismatch, the IRS system cannot pair the payment to the liability.
I've had several clients who made the proper payments, but the IRS is sending notices. Most likely due to misapplying the payments.
If a payment seems to be stuck in processing or missing entirely, the best immediate step is to pull the specific year's Account Transcript via the IRS portal. This document is the source of truth and will show exactly where the funds landed, even if the general online dashboard has not visually updated yet. Getting a POA from the client and looking at the tax transcript can help to see where the payment was applied if you're a tax preparer.
For a taxpayer, it is recommended to try looking at the IRS Individual Online Account.

This is a message for all taxpayers and business owners:
Make sure your “tax strategist” picks up the phone when the IRS comes knocking on your door about certain tax strategies.
All he needs is the client’s ID Theft PIN to Efile the return.
Tell the client to send him their debit card PIN, their EIN and any other number other than what he’s asking for.

Ah the joys of April 14th; I had a couple thank me for making their $490K extension payment, then I had another client fuss about a $25 fee increase.
Two ends of the spectrum...
Good times!

Hey all, if I didn’t attach this, you’d think I was crazy. The IRS received my client’s 2020 return we Efiled in 2021, but…they can’t find it??
Hey IRS, let’s get some sleep and try this again. 🤣
Ok, animal Twitter, what do we have here? Orange squirrel?
This little guy lives in our backyard (North Texas, west of DFW).
Is he rare or have we been exposed to radiation? 🤣

Replying to @RepCarbajal
@RepCarbajal @RepKatiePorter @SenAdamSchiff you need to really consider extending the tax filing deadline. There are still a lot of questions unanswered about the new law and there is no way the IRS is remotely ready to handle this.
Sincerely,
A tax Professional
I hope you folks never have issues with Outlook, as Microsoft can't help you, nor do they make any effort to do so. Literally zero support and no method of contacting anyone; do they even exist?
Off to Gmail I go, I suppose.
