Hi. Long-time New Yorker and Italian here. Yeah, I can see why Mamdani’s office prob should have listed Little Italy on that map. BUT Little Italy in Manhattan ain’t an enclave. It’s a tourist block. My quickly gentrifying hood in Brooklyn is more Italian than that.
The biggest thing Italians did for Manhattan was get the Mafia elected into public office to turn the city treasury into a giant money laundering operation
