Killer scene. I’m surprise there isn’t more literature/ media based around the Great Migration.
So many of us have roots in the South and it’s so many uncovered oral stories.
One thing no one is talking about is how this show is humanizing the elders. Mama G being shunned by her father as a pastor. Big Daddy having to leave the south because of racism and power.
It’s easy to scapegoat them because they seem hypocritical but black folks of a certain age have scars the youth can’t really grasp.
