And so my #LILAC24 journey begins. Train number one heading towards the capital! Lovely to have some blue skies to accompany the journey, hopefully this will last for the whole of the conference (checks weather forecast and clutches to the brolly I thankfully put in my bag 🌧️🌂)

After feeling sorry for myself last Tues, having missed out on an opportunity - this Tues started more brightly when I arrived at my desk to find this little guy, a gift from an academic as thanks for some help with her research. Also pictured, today's awesome Xmas jumper!

Had some disappointing (but completely fair) work-adjacent news this afternoon but can't be down when I'm wearing a Xmas jumper this awesome!

Yesterday I ran a session on AI and what it means for libraries for my colleagues. As part of this I wanted to demo what AI tools could do so thought I'd try and generate a pic of someone who looked like me using Ideogram. Pic 1 is the prompt, pic 2 is the outcome! 🤣

First day back on campus today & pleased to report that after two weeks of wearing sweatpants & gorging on Xmas treats my work trousers still fit! Although the face-to-face appointment I came in for is now cancelled so could have hung on to the sweatpant life for one more day!😭
