Holy shit they’ve made driving in Oxford hostile. Arrived only to have to do a 40 minute detour in order to avoid the new ‘Traffic Filters’, some lovely no-vehicle restrictions that aren’t on Google Maps, and have no warnings until you’re a few hundred meters away from them.

Question for any motorsport marshals: If a car is on fire but the driver has already self-extricated, would you normally try and fight the fire straight away, for wait for all drivers to pass by on a red flag first?

I ask as Tasanapol's crash in F2 Practice, the commentators seemingly annoyed that the marshals weren't on track putting the fire out, whilst the driver is already safe & cars were still passing quite closely on the exit of a blind corner. I'd say, let it burn!

A huge thank you to @VirginAtlantic for such a thoughtful gesture! We love you guys ❤️ To give you all an update on how Jerry is doing. After losing vision in his right eye from the first stroke and the use of his left side from the second stroke he is making excellent progress. He regained the use of his left side and can now walk short distances, his vision has returned too. His strength and determination is nothing short of remarkable! He has been transferred to our local hospital to continue his recovery and rehabilitation. The road to recovery that we anticipated from his surgery has got longer but we’ll get him back out there doing what he loves ✈️ Gilly ❤️
