Andy Burnham has posted a misleading tweet trying to claim credit for the fact that Google Maps lists petrol prices. "I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help," he says, ignoring the fact that his government has already hoovered up another £110m in additional tax revenue on higher fuel prices since the 1st of August and that tax constitutes 47% of the price of petrol.
If fuel prices stay at their current levels, the full extra amount that Labour will rake in from VAT on fuel by next August is £1.2bn.
Moreover if Labour's planned 3p fuel duty increase on 1 January 2027, followed by 2p on 1 March 2027 and an April RPI uplift go ahead, then another £1.7bn of revenue will be raised in the first 7 months of 2027, meaning a total tax increase of £2.95bn over the Aug 26 to Aug 27 period.
If Burnham really wanted to make fuel more affordable, the least he would do is to reduce the level of tax so the government was no longer raking in even more cash from higher fuel prices.
I expect everyone attacking the police to face the full force of the law and be in Court tomorrow morning.
You know there was a democratic vote called Referendum to reject it?
Andy Burnham is right that ‘hope comes from honesty’.
That’s why Labour must make the case for rejoining the EU ⬇️

UK-Iranian dual national arrested in London over RAF Fairford incident, counter-terror police say bbc.in/4yjVSii
He slashed an empty dinghy used by gangs to smuggle people to the UK.
I do expect opposition parties to challenge it as it doesn't seem the right use of public resources (prison places).
Isn't it ilegal to conceal identity and harass a political campaign?
Democracy doesn't work like this.
This is what our Restore Britain campaigning team was met with today in Holborn and St Pancras, more footage coming in. @YoungBobRB captured this.
The NHS budget this year is £217 billion.
That’s more than the entire government spending of Ireland (£100bn) and New Zealand (£70bn) combined.
One health service now outspends two whole countries.
History has a wild sense of irony.
A boat landing in Hastings, the exact coastline where Duke William’s Norman fleet arrived 960 years ago in 1066, leading to the defeat of King Harold and changing English history forever.
To make it even crazier: this happens just weeks after France officially loaned the Bayeux Tapestry back to the UK. The literal 70-metre medieval masterpiece depicting that exact 1066 invasion is sitting in London right now.
UPDATE: Migrant Border Force boat now heading east towards Hastings, away from Gosport #PatriotPlatform
Looking at the Germany election results tonight with another massive loss for Merz in 2 states I remembered this photo of the globalists Starmer, Macron and Merz (10-May-2025).
France presidential elections are in April 2027 and Marine Le Penn is leading the polls with 33 to 36%.
A bit ironic: you represent Coventry South, yet you support Liverpool, owned by an American sports hedge fund (FSG), instead of Coventry City, which is literally based in your constituency and owned by someone living right here in Britain.
This is a crime @ShabanaMahmood , we expect the full force of the law for threatening democracy in the UK.

In 2022, during a London Assembly exchange with Conservative member Shaun Bailey (who had recently been made a peer), Khan said that exchange was “proof, if it was ever needed, that we should abolish the House of Lords.”
4 years later...
I'm deeply grateful for the opportunities London has given me and my family.
From a council estate to City Hall, I’ve been supported and helped throughout my journey. It’s an honour to join the House of Lords.
My focus is, and will always be, to ensure every Londoner has the chance to reach their full potential.
