A bit about why we set up our blog:
"Although I can’t help “past me”, I CAN help present you: you the writer, you the potential publisher, you the curious being who wants to learn about the strange and wonderful world of #publishing." #helpingwriters

This includes some really insightful comments about indie press publishing and how writers should go about the process of submission. Also, if you're thinking of subbing to Luna Press, go for it! Francesca is a super-pro publisher and the books she publishes are fantastic. 🤩
Just now posted this fascinating Q&A with @FTBarbini of @LunaPressGlobal, who says: I don’t publish “by trend”, but “by heart”. 💗
A much-loved indie publisher of #SFF & #horror, Luna Press will soon be open to #submissions... #WritingCommunity

Stories from booksellers about how some authors aren't sure about how book retail works seem quite common (it's certainly a not-often-talked about topic). So if any writer does want to understand RRPs etc. we have just the article for you. thebookstewards.com/whats-in…

It's my 74th birthday today and my first day on Twitter. I've published my first book this week - a memoir about my search for my birth mother. I'd love to meet more of the #writingcommunity on here. Please say hi! #amwriting

Such an inspiring & informative Q&A. Great to hear about Paul's "stubbornness" driving him to set up an indie press + bookshop despite Covid, and his love for indies @Ofmooseandmen @Influxpress @GalleyBeggars @CharcoPress @TiltedAxisPress @commapress (& fab questions, Tracey!)

It was lovely to speak to Tracey about my pamphlet today. 💜 If you'd like to know about the origin of my name, my Russian mum, why I found a villanelle to be a good way to express grief, & whether or not I always wear a durpy look, have a watch. ☺️ @IndigoDreamsPub #indigopoets

Author friends. I’m reaching out.
My son’s school are trying to raise funds to create a lighthouse room, a space for kids to go to for support in these dark and emotionally challenging times. If anyone can gift signed copies of their novels for an auction. Please DM me ❤️❤️❤️

Did you know that we accept submissions all year round? Or that we accept previously published works? Or that all clownfish are born male? (Last one isn't relevant but it's interesting, yeah?)
