I now understand the Anti-Cap angst…it makes sense now
I’m starting to understand why nobody wants a salary cap & floor. If the owners FORCE Bob Nutting to spend, the Pirates will become the most dangerous team in MLB.

Hilarious how someone can turn “a cap/ floor system is needed to level the playing field” into implying Pirates fans are seeking an unfair advantage. I get this is tongue-in-cheek but give me a fkn break man
BREAKING: Pittsburgh Pirates fans, in the interest of fairness, have proposed a new league structure post-expansion. In their proposal, each of the American and National Leagues will have two divisions, with the top two teams in each division making the playoffs.

Doing the math for Buctober World Series….yea babe you sitting this one out. You too kids
I just feel so unimaginably horrible for the true #Brewers fans that dreamed of going to the World Series when we made it this far. I will reiterate, whether you can be there or not, YOU STILL MATTER.

The best fans in baseball

Or maybe what benefits the owners here also benefits the fans?
If as a fan of baseball you find yourself taking the owners side in this lockout, just know you’re a boot licker and he doesn’t love you

That’s what we call a sloppy take
MLB Salary Cap Cultist Update The @Brewers just swept the highest-spending team in baseball with roughly 43% of the payroll and half the star power. Naturally, the Salary Tax Cultists are having a morning. The same people who spent all year insisting “you can’t compete with the Dodgers” are now explaining why this doesn’t count and why we still need a hard cap so their owner doesn’t have to spend money either. Mental gymnastics this clean should come with a 10.0 from the judges.

Brewers fans, I know you’re shaking in your boots right now. Get ready for your season to be over

The script was obvious
Why the Dodgers won’t 3-peat 1. The Dodgers are the poster child for MLB owners pushing a cap. A Dodgers 3-peat makes this case stronger. The players will conspire to ensure it doesn’t happen. 2. Baseball gods do not like the Pirates. Anything that could potentially benefit the Pirates will not happen. 3. The Dodgers are bitches

This is just ridiculous behavior in the 2nd inning

Andrew buys a ribeye but his dog eats it. Matt buys hot dogs and grills them perfectly. Matt had the better meal. The next day, Andrew buys another ribeye while Matt grills more hot dogs. Matt had the better meal yesterday so Andrew has no advantage today.
The Brewers are gonna sweep the Big Bad ruining basebal Dodgers and then the owners are gonna argue we have to have a salary cap? Give it a break...

Apparently an advantage only exists if it produces the desired outcome 100% of the time. Fascinating stuff here.
Four clear examples in 2026 why a salary cap and salary floor isn't necessarily needed in MLB... • $347M - Mets (last) • $276M - Blue Jays (last) • $96M - Rays (ALCS) • $74M - Guardians (ALCS)

October 12, 1997: NLCD Game 5. Taking advantage of umpire Eric Gregg’s generous strike zone, Livan Hernandez throws a 15 strikeout complete game to lift the Marlins over the Braves 2-1.

I remember a couple weeks ago when Kaboly quite clearly said Dowdle was the better RB
Nothing against Rico Dowdle, but you can't have any semblance of a run share with Jaylen Warren when Dowdle returns

Holden Geriner is honestly the slowest person I’ve ever seen on a football field

I miss the days when the Steelers were actually good - and not linked to every single potential player move
