Bumphis said Tobias Merriweather delivered one of his best performances of fall camp during Saturday’s work inside Rice-Eccles Stadium. “He’s been really good—especially off the field, he’s been unbelievable.” Bumphis expects Merriweather to have a role in Utah’s offense.

Tobias Merriweather is the first receiver Chad Bumphis identified when asked who has impressed since spring. Bumphis already knew Merriweather as an off-field leader. Now, after watching him run and make plays in camp, he is beginning to see how that leadership translates onto the field.
