Last Friday The CREATE Lab was invited to Caloundra SHS for the ImmerseHigh presentation night and we had the chance to make people walk the plank 😃 they also got to sit with an Apatasaurus with the Jurassic Park experience 😃 Lots of laughs and lots of fun was had by all 😃
And that’s a wrap on Gladstone @WorldSciFest. Official no’s are pending, but we did a LOT of @toastvr plank walking today, so suspect the 2k person estimate wasn’t far off! Consider yourself scienced for 2022 Gladstone, but don’t worry, we’ll be back next year. ;) @qldmuseum @CQU

For this weeks Wednesday Weaving Tech meme, a reminder of how tricky life can be these days without Internet. Not sure if it takes us back to the Jurassic age, or Godzilla appears (!), but do you agree that having no Internet in 2022 can sometimes put us back in the Stone Age? ;)
So busy yesterday I managed to miss our Weaving Tech Wednesday meme, so to make it up here’s an extra special Star Wars themed one for you! It’s no secret that technology has changed the way we communicate, and nothing shows this better that the humble meme itself! ;)
Here’s the next in our Weaving Tech Wednesday meme series, a stark reminder of how twenty year old technology wasn’t all bad, at least it lasted a LONG time! Did anyone out there have this model of indestructible Nokia? Professor Tech strangely preferred Ericsson! ;)
In celebration of our Weaving Tech workshop series, here’s the 1st of a set (?) of Wednesday memes about when technology doesn’t weave as well as we like! This one is inspired by those times you travel & remember all the tech, except the cable to charge it! Happy hump day all! :)
Less than two weeks to go until our first Weaving Technology into the Fabric of the Classroom workshop for K - 12 teachers at CQUni Noosa on 7th May. The theme is VR on a budget and it’s very hands on and also FREE, so register now at: weaving.tech

Just a few weeks to go until our “Professor Tech”, Dr Michael A. Cowling, presents at the Future Teaching and Learning in Higher Education conference in Melbourne on his favourite topic, Pedagogy Before Technology! :) criterionconferences.com/eve…
Thanks to @CQUni robot Rennie Pepper for his help presenting at our most recent Weaving Technology into the Fabric of the Classroom workshop for K - 12 teachers at Mackay. He’s taking a well deserved nap after presenting across 6 rotations in 2 hours! :)

Honoured to receive the #ASCILITE Community Fellow Award this year for my work in @TheCREATELab at @CQUni. I think it’s vitally important for us to share our practice and come down from the ivory tower and I appreciate the recognition for the small part I play. #ASCILITE2018
