Hard work in recent days at Kelston by @CRTWalesandSW teams to help boaters and reinstate some movement through the lock.

While Kelston Lock 5 remains closed to public use until further notice, we are offering assisted passage on Saturday 13th September from 10:00am to 2:00pm and Tuesday 16th September from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The lock will remain secured and inaccessible outside of these times.

On the Kennet & Avon canal at Widcombe, Bath. The pump house chimney, used in times of yore to pump water back uphill after the lock had emptied. Not any old chimney either..
