Thank you @MaxwellFrostFL for speaking out against USCIS' proposed visa fee increases for touring musicians
.@USCIS is proposing hiking up the costs of visas for foreign artist’s touring in the United States by over 250%. This ridiculous increase is harmful towards the arts community & small/medium venues. I led a letter to USCIS asking them to reconsider with some colleagues.

according to a new article from @axios, out of 1501 artists accepted to play at SXSW last year, only 128 chose payment over wristbands.
SXSW paid $32,000 MAX to artists (if every act got $250).
It’s estimated that SXSW 2022 generated an economic benefit to the city of $280.7M.
