The idea that AI copies ideas and systems from existing games can be true to an extent. Slop is slop. We have AAA game companies stealing from small artists and using AI. I have built quite a few small games and am currently in process of building my trilogy. For the Elysian Chronicles trilogy I built it from the ground up utilizing real world data to build complex in-game systems. Many of these take a lot of testing and refinement to make sure they are working properly.
Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai says AI-generated games just copy ideas and systems from existing games He believes AI can't match the "originality" of human creators

no way... I can't believe it did that actually cause you to stop and read it?

If you’re pitching a space tech startup don’t use AI to make your videos, the space nerds will be suspicious. Make your videos using Kerbal Space Program and they’ll know you at least did simulated engineering.

Let's go Liquid!
Introducing 𝙻𝙵𝙼𝟹: our new generation of Liquid Foundation Models. With a new tri-hybrid architecture and new multimodal encoders, the LFM3 family is the ideal model suite for specialized intelligence. > 6 model instances, across text, audio, vision, and omni modalities, generative and decision models. > 𝙻𝙵𝙼𝟹-𝟷.𝟽𝙱: text, 256k context window. > 𝙻𝙵𝙼𝟹-𝚅𝙻-𝟸𝙱: vision-language model with video-input support for spatial understanding > 𝙻𝙵𝙼𝟹-𝙰𝚞𝚍𝚒𝚘-𝟸𝙱: tool calls, voice chat, reasoning in 18 languages. > 𝙻𝙵𝙼𝟹-𝙾𝚖𝚗𝚒-𝟸𝙱: an omni model combines vision, audio, and language. > 𝚍𝟷-𝟸𝙱 and 𝚍𝟷-𝙾𝚖𝚗𝚒-𝟸𝙱: decision models with typed outputs and calibrated probabilities in a single pass. The parts came in for my old car in borrowing. Alternator and serpentine belt swapped, now time to go back to work. How is your evening?

If we stay at the absolute peak and really utilize the robotics hardware wisely, I think we will see far more than we think in 5 years or less. "Yes, you could build and train a specialist robot to do that today, but there is a very long way to go to replace the full range of human capabilities." Clearly Elon is already thinking about it.
I see how some people can watch flashy robot demos on the timeline and think with a shiver that the robot apocalypse is around the corner, but reality check: There is no robot in the world that can change the batteries in a jack-o-lantern. If you have a robot friendly door handle it might be able to walk outside, pick it up, and carry it back inside. The robot could open the drawer with your batteries in it, but then things get tough. Opening the package of AA batteries? Extracting a precision screwdriver from its case? Unscrewing four tiny screws that require a hard press and twist? Popping batteries out of the case? Yes, you could build and train a specialist robot to do that today, but there is a very long way to go to replace the full range of human capabilities. Near term doomer scenarios should stop at “secretly controlling humanity” instead of “wiping humanity out” 😀

I'm honestly surprised I have not being seeing people with larger hardware training their own version of models. The community talks about open-source AI but very few actually seem to be doing any of this on X. NVIDIA is handing you the tools in an easy format.
Build AI agents that speak the language and understand the local context. Here's 5 steps to learn how to post-train NVIDIA Nemotron with synthetic data and LoRA to adapt its responses for regional terminology, policies and tone. Follow the step-by-step tech blog: nvda.ws/4zeRBxd

Google has let the next Genie out of the bottle. The question is when will we all get it?
Today we're introducing Genie 4 — our newest interactive world model from @GoogleDeepMind 🌐

The price of RAM hopefully should come down by the end of next year. We are in a crunch period right now but manufacturing is ramping up across the board with a new factory in China as well.
We are all complaining about GPU prices, while RAM vendors are laughing all the way to the bank If you haven’t checked how much DDR5/DDR5 ECC sticks cost lately, prepare to have your knees buckle. It’s the true barrier to local AI considering you’d need 4/8/12/16 per build

A$AP Rocky is under fire for ripping off a small artist using AI. "They took our video without permission (or even asking), then fed it into AI and changed Jason to ASAP Rocky," - Cache Bunny In 2021 he previewed a song called "Mushroom Clouds." On Oct. 19 that song released as "Shroom Clouds". He is being accused of ripping off a scene from a 2019 video series using GoPro Fusion directed by Ari Fararooy and Cache Bunny, with visual effects by Cache Bunny, featuring German parkour athlete Jason Paul.

Look forward to the day we look back the entire left/right structure as primitive and reductive and have definable collective goals that we all work towards. We do have data and common sense to steer us to a future that benefits the whole, instead we reduce ourselves to tribalism

Anthropic is getting sued for allegedly using more than 250 of Elvis Presley's songs to train Claude. I am genuinely curious as to what Elvis would think about it.

Some project updates: The game trilogy is still in progress. I am currently working on a lot of the individual pieces and refining them as all of the base systems are in place and functional. EPIC SHARC MOHTE has a ton of things I have been pushing through. Currently working on boundary and memory coherence in different situations. The windows native harness is on the backburner but it is fully functional and has a ton of features in it including some the commercial harnesses don't have. CAMD my depth, pose and size analysis model also has had some updates and more training. EmitterRefusion base prototype is up on GitHub but I have not touched it in a little while. The basic concept is there for those interested in the research side of it though.

The first time I was exposed to Tim Curry was not the same way most people found him. It was in an 1993 PC game named Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers. A lot of the voice acting in this game makes for a good time. A lot of people were in it, not just Tim Curry. It also included Leah Remini, Virginia Capers, Mark Hamill, Michael Dorn, and Efrem Zimbalist Jr.
