Things that even I have forgotten . I am a certified hot air balloon pilot . Many many years ago sanjay Gandhi airport had launched this course ( it was called bahurdurshah zafar something institute , if I remember correctly ) . For a very very nominal amount - you got training + take off and landing support for one ride a month . The balloon was also provided by them .
Delhi was something else back then .
Folks asking me names of the factories supplying to brands , you are missing the point of the tweet. Go out , talk to local people doing great stuff . I don’t even live in Delhi anymore but everytime I come I just find people who are making world class fashion stuff . This time I found amazing perfume makers and leather bag makers .
Case in point . This is leather peacoat is made in India . Selling price is about $900. I can get the same quality and also get it made bespoke directly from India for maybe about 30-40K .

You are making a political statement . Your words are center stage . Atleast do basic edit checks . “ Earning in millions” . Mid level management job , earning in millions .
A few years ago, Ashu had a high-paying corporate job in London, earning millions. Saurav was writing about the country’s legal system and living a great life. Both had successful careers, financial security and every reason to continue living the lives they had built for themselves.
But they chose to give it all up in the hope of making this country a better place. They had absolutely no reason to leave behind their comfortable lives, take to the streets, face uncertainty and eventually end up in jail. Yet they did.
What I admire most about these two is that despite coming from privileged backgrounds, they chose to fight for those who aren’t as fortunate. They could have easily looked the other way, enjoyed their lives and never bothered about the struggles of people they had never even met. Nobody asked them to make these sacrifices. Nobody expected them to. But they did, because they genuinely care about people beyond themselves.
And to me, that is the greatest quality a human being can have. To stand up for people you don’t know, to fight battles that aren’t your own, and to risk everything you have so that someone else might have a better life.
That’s the kind of people Ashu and Saurav are.

You know absolutely nothing about NY . Making dancing reels at random places is dumb . But this is not that . They have taken proper permission and all protocols have been followed. Sikhs do Sikh parade at baishakhi. There is Diwali parade . Both locals and tourists enjoy all these. This is what multicultural societies are about.
If they love their country and culture so much, why don’t they just come to India and do this? Why do only these selected 5% of Indians engage in this kind of nonsense and end up generalising the rest of us?
They’re literally celebrating Durga Puja in Times Square. Religion and traditional practices are individual choices, so why are they celebrating in a public space full of people just to show off how proud they are of their religion and traditions?
Now imagine the same thing if the Muslim community celebrated Bakri Eid at Connaught Place or Christians decorated an entire public space for Christmas.
It’s one thing shouting on internet on how dirty our cities are . It’s another thing doing something about it . My area is littered with cafes . Most Genz visited place - they just throw around coffee cups etc . It’s the same demographic who is most vocal about these things on internet.
Cleanliness isn’t sexy . It does not get you instagram views . It does not get you clout. It’s not revolutionary. Frankly , there is no difference between them and prev generation when it comes to keeping our cities clean .
Let me assure you - such places exist in Delhi ( and I am sure other places ) . Also , other places where such places exist - people still go to cafes . Is logic se tu nobody in NY will be going to cafe and meeting in Central Park all the time .
The golden rule of life is not get into anything that you cannot manage yourself. Don’t have kid(s) if you can’t raise them by yourself . Dont buy house if you can’t pay for it by yourself . Don’t get married if you can’t afford giving your family a good life all by yourself .

McDonald’s actually does have best-tasting Coke in the world and here a few reasons:
▫️Coca-Cola ships Coke/Diet Coke syrup to McDonald’s in specially-designed 75 gallon stainless steel containers and pumped directly into store machines.
▫️ Metal preserves taste better than plastic bags, which is how every other customers gets their syrup (Coca-Cola reps are also forbidden from selling syrup at a lower cost than what McDonald’s pays).
▫️Syrup machines frequently tweaked and calibrated to ensure taste is consistently strong since McDonald’s pours drinks with certain amount of ice which dilutes when melts.
▫️McDonald’s has specialized water filtration system at every location (tastes better) and cooling system (drink always consistently same cold temperature and cooler water holds more carbonation aka fizz)
Coca-Cola sends employees to do frequent quality checks at McDonald’s locations.
The McDonald’s and Coca-Cola partnership dates back to 1955 and goes deep.
McDonald’s is the largest restaurant partner ($1B+ a year) and only company within Coca-Cola that has its own division. When Coca-Cola reps are asked about the largest markets, they often say “US, Japan, Germany and McDonald’s.”
