Karl-Anthony Towns is willing to take a pay cut on his extension with the Knicks but believes the amount New York is offering is 'unreasonable' 😳
Towns is eligible for a 4YR/$276M extension but if the two sides fail to get an agreement, he has a player option he can exercise at the end of the season allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent in 2027.

After spending nearly a decade on the bench alongside legendary head coach Gregg Popovich as an assistant for the San Antonio Spurs, Hammon made history by taking the reins in Las Vegas. @ScoopB caught up and asked her to break down the tactical exchange between both leagues.

You were then, and you are now, trash @SpursReporter. Pure white hot levels of garbage.

"The idea that Steve Ballmer is stalling the Kawhi trade out of spite doesn't hold up. First of all, Balmer is not supposed to be involved doing anything or calling any shots for the team right now.
"Second, Ballmer is hyper-competitive, but throughout his Microsoft and Clippers tenure, he's always been a ruthless tactician, not self-destructive. After losing 5 first-round picks in the NBA sanctions, LA desperately needs Toronto’s return package of 2 unprotected 1sts + Pick Swap)." Per @SpursReporter Dusty Garza.
Several NBA insiders have noted, the delay isn't malice- it’s purely administrative paralysis while LA establishes interim front-office signing authority after the league suspensions. Deal still gets done.
Not many rookies taste the NBA Finals in year one.
Spurs standout Dylan Harper talks about what it took to get there, learning under Gregg Popovich, and building chemistry with De'Aaron Fox.

I just dropped a piece about how and why the NBA just let Kawhi Leonard move on without facing the real fallout. dunkdigest.com/the-illusion-…
The NBA wants you to believe they dropped the hammer by stripping 5 first round picks, but the math actually tells a different story.
From the instant Toronto refund to why Adam Silver would never void this trade like David Stern did with Chris Paul, here is why the "death penalty" isn't what it seems: dunkdigest.com/the-illusion-…

How did the Kawhi Leonard deal actually unravel?
A brand-new mini-doc from Decoded Sports breaks down the entire NBA investigation, the penalties, and the fallout inside the Clippers organization.

How did ESPN think this and report it?!
ESPN dropped a bombshell report just recently claiming Steve Ballmer and the Clippers were essentially in the clear on direct cap circumvention.
Clippers Owner Ballmer repeatedly and publicly insisted he was just a naive investor who got conned by Aspiration's fraudster founder.
As it turns out the NBA's investigators found the paper trail proving Ballmer knew his $50 million check was a direct precondition for the startup paying Kawhi.
For the next 365 days, Ballmer is barred from attending Clippers games, entering the new Intuit Dome for team operations, participating in NBA Board of Governors meetings, or having any day-to-day communication with Clippers basketball or business executives.
Also, the NBA has stripped five unprotected first-round picks (2029 to 2033), handed down a $30 million fine, and banned Ballmer, Lawrence Frank, and Gillian Zucker for a year. This is the harshest franchise punishment in modern NBA history. It completely cripples their future. It's worse than the Joe Smith penalty that crippled Kevin Garnett’s Minnesota Timberwolves for a decade. 💀

LeBron borrowed nearly $300M in upfront cash by putting up his future Nike deal and off-court earnings as collateral for long-term bonds.
Mark Walter- CEO of Guggenheim Partners and the majority owner who agreed to sell the Lakers amid a federal investigation into his empire- heads the firm that arranged the bond deals for LeBron.
But, the reporting notes the lending arrangement began in 2018 before Walter acquired his stake in the Lakers, and there is no indication that LeBron's loan deals are connected to the federal probe.
Exclusive: Just months before joining the Los Angeles Lakers, a limited liability company James controls borrowed almost $300 million from a pair of Midwestern life insurers advised by an arm of Guggenheim. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Just hours after reports claimed Steve Ballmer and the Clippers were in the clear, the NBA shut that narrative down—calling ESPN's reporting inaccurate and confirming the Kawhi cap investigation is still ongoing.
Wow 😮! Don’t count the Clippers in the clear just yet. The NBA just issued a rare, direct pushback against its top broadcast partner, stating ESPN’s report on the Kawhi Leonard investigation contains “numerous and significant inaccuracies”.
Translation: The probe is still very much alive, and final findings haven’t dropped. 🍿
"If the Cavs still had Garland in Cleveland and moved Donovan in a trade to Jaylen Brown, there's a good chance that LeBron James would be in Cleveland today next to Garland, Jaylen Brown and Evan Mobley."

When the Spurs selected Dylan Harper second overall, team leadership reportedly met with him to assure him that he was a core pillar of the franchise, according to @ScoopB.
“I know for a fact that prior to drafting Dylan Harper last year with the No. 2 overall pick, the Spurs front office sat down with Harper and told him directly that he was their future.”
