Put ex players in the VAR they argue
Somebody please explain this offside scenario to me in simple terms
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
With Tunisia's goalkeeper having joined the corner attack only one Tunisian outfield player was positioned between the Libyan attacker and the goal. The offside rule requires an attacker to have at least two opponents closer to the goal line when the ball is played.

Regardless, the biggest misconception is that ex-players agree with each other.
They do not.
Just look at the voting patterns of the KMI Panel of ex-players.
So what people actually want is an ex-player in the VAR room who agrees with them.
American referee Ismail Elfath is probably the best ref I've seen this tournament!

Unreal achievement.
Teams cheat, teams try their best, but ultimately, the most genuine club make the leap!
Congratulations Hull City
Are there any fanzones in Stockport to watch the game tomorrow ?

When I watch Refcam, I respect referees more.
The instantaneous nature of those decisions can be pressuring. They must be smart people too. The good ones.
In this Refcam Iβm watching, Sam Barrott who officiated the Spurs vs Aston Villa game has called Richarlison βRichyβ, Rogers βMorganβ and Gallagher βConorβ. That shows that heβs warmed up to them.
He told De Zerbi βgood to see youβ probably because heβs been away from the league. He told Leon Bailey the same because heβs not been around too. He was recalled from Roma in January.
Chris Kavanagh in Everton vs Liverpool. He calls a foul and Tarkowski keeps nagging. He asked him βare you going to take the whistle when you retire or what?βπππ
He told Salah, βPleasure Moβ and Salah responds, βif I donβt see you again, itβs a pleasureβ.
Paul Tierney β Arsenal vs Bournemouth. When he called the penalty, he told the Bournemouth player, βI know itβs a short distance but your hand and arm are really highβ. James Hill had his foot on the 18-box before Gyokeresβ, he shouted βstay out βHillyβ, Hilly stay outβ.
Take note of βHillyβ. Itβs friendly and almost interpersonal.
Those clips give a different feel of what it is to be in their position.
