Say it louder: Social Security doesn't add a dime to the deficit. It's funded by its own dedicated payroll tax โ money working people earn with every paycheck.
So when politicians talk about "cutting Social Security to reduce the deficit," they're not being fiscally responsible. They're taking our earned benefits to pay for tax cuts for the rich and corporate giveaways.
